I have loved using GB for the past several months, and I recently have updated to the new IOS, and now GB is no longer opening no matter how many times I restart my Mac book. If this gets resolved, I will change my review because I do in fact really enjoy GB it is not working and idk how to fix it. Thank you

You use to be able to make ringtones for iPhones easily, since unlike Android, it is extraordinarily difficult to use pretty much anything as a ringtone. And now, you can’t export things in your ridiculous “m4r” format, which nobody uses anywhere else in the world. I ended up using an online conversion tool, which took about 2 seconds. Disappointing, some random company on the internet was able to help me out with an Apple problem when Apple couldn’t.

Idc what anyone says. I’ll never stop using this. I’ve been a pro musician for many years and no one can tell the difference from this, to any other software (DAW) for creating music & `scores if no one else knew. Add your video to score a film.

I’ve been using GarageBand on my phone for a while and hadn’t thought of using it on my MacBook until I needed to use it for one of my classes. I had downloaded it onto my computer and started messing around with it, and after a few hours I started to understand how it works. I realized it’s easier to use this app on my computer than on my phone, too. The layout is straightforward and allows me to find everything and see everything I need all at once. It’s easier to grab and adjust the notes on each MIDI track, and the track controls are all together, so it’s faster to get to them. There’s a wider variety of controls and settings to use when editing each track or the master. The electronic instruments are way more organized and stay open on the side in case I want to change one of the track instruments multiple times. It’s faster than changing the instruments on my phone. It’s simple and easy to use, while still having a ton of options displayed at the same time, making it a fast trip between the controls. This is a great app for starters since it’s completely free. The electronic instruments are also free, but they may take up a bit of space if you download everything onto your computer. You could figure out how to use the app on your own or watch tutorial videos to understand it faster. I definitely recommend this app for beginners and creators if they don’t want to spend the money on some fancy software.

Constantly fails to open, you just get a message saying it crashed and click on reopen. And it fails to open again, and round and round you go.
  • Doesn’t open in macOS 15.1

Will not open in macOS 15.1, despite extensive troubleshooting (including command line entered in Terminal to reset settings). Logic and Live open just fine.
  • Constant issues

There's always some weird new issue. Like you suddenly won't be able to hear playback. Or you suddenly won't be able to hear playback on vocals, but hear midi just fine. Or you'll need to restart the program for something to work normal. And so on.
