Now I love this app it’s great for filming high quality video on my 15 Pro but I’ve encountered a problem where the app doesn’t record the first few seconds of my video I’ve recorded things and when I go to watch back the footage the first few seconds of the video are cut off this needs immediate attention
  • When it lets me shoot, the footage looks great!

I have been trying to shoot onto an external SSD using the lightning port on on my iPhone 17 Pro Max. The drive is fast enough and formatted ExFAT, the cable is correct, but it crashes all the time. That's not very cool. Currently, I am struggling with a way to keep the app from resetting its clip number to "0001" every time I offload my files from the phone. I'm hoping there is a good solution for this, but I haven't found it yet.
  • Can’t rec ProRes Raw on internal drive

The speed is enough, ProRes is ok
  • Good camera except for a few missing conveniences

    1. Cannot maintain settings between takes. You change lens, for example, or even switch momentarily away, you lose your shutter speed, ISO, etc. 1.1. More rarely, but still annoyingly often, like every couple of days, even more fundamental settings like format will revert to basics (HEVC). 2. SSD is finicky, but it remains to be seen if it is a problem with my M2 drive or its enclosure. Some people say T7/T9 work better. 3. Underexposure indicator would be useful? Otherwise it makes probably the most out of latest iPhone Pro’s modest camera hardware.

I love using this app to film content. I feel like it levels up my filming. But it takes up so much storage and doesn’t have a good way to show if you actually deleted footage or not. Would love if it was like the photos apps where you can see what you recently deleted and either delete them right away or wait the 30 day period.

The annoying part is all my settings and preferences are lost regularly, daily. This includes camera settings, recording settings, and monitoring preferences.
  • Great step

This is a good step in the right direction but still does not make Apple cameras comparable to a professional industry level camera for broadcast or film. It just lacks a lot of features still.
