  • Great app, especially with Live Activities

    Apple Sports is a great app. It is my main sports app for scores. That said, there is a couple things they could add. 1. More leagues One of the major spots this app is lacking is with other sports. If they added PGA Tour, tennis, NASCAR, or other NCAA sports, this app would get much better 3. Whole league/team schedules They need to add a feature where you can see the whole league schedule. Or if you’re following a team, you could see their whole schedule. 4. Sports news I know they already have the sports section of Apple News, but they should add that in here. 5. iPad Make iPad support. All in all, this is already a great app. But if they added this, I’d love it even more. It’s amazing to see how far this app has come, even in a short time. If they added even just two of these things, I’d make it 5 stars. If they added all of these, I dare say I would even delete ESPN.

    Positives: > Live activities can track the score when nobody else can. > Serves as a functional Sports app Negatives: > Only shows sports back one day and up to 7 days in advance > No TV listings (EDIT: They added TV listings, but they are paritcularly hidden) > Too much focus on international Association Football leagues and lacks non-traditional leagues (e.g. F1) > Live activities is not automatic despite saying it will be and is not built for streaming time delays. 3 Stars

  • You can’t turn off notifications

    It sounds an alarm to show you the score even if notifications are turned off. I’m pretty sure apple would ban any other apps that did this

    It is missing key tournaments from Europe. Also the banner stays stuck on my phone and is really hard to get rid of. Not the update I was hoping for.

    The app is always ahead of the broadcast for me—even live tv, let alone streams. I wish updates were delayed a bit or there was a setting to choose how much delay you want.

  • Needs more sports/leagues/highlights

    The app is slick, easy to use, and easy on the eyes. However, the lack of professional leagues, diversity of sports, and international competitions/teams is keeping me from using it regularly. Another necessity is embedded highlight videos.

  • Great but some clutter

    The app receives updates that get better and better. Something I wish would be added is a way to sort the leagues within My Leagues. I follow a lot of sports and it’s sorted by time and not by league within My League. To me it creates a cluttered feel but the app is improving.

  • Add more women’s sports
