Description

Apple Configurator makes it easy to deploy iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, and Apple TV devices in your school or business. Use Apple Configurator to quickly configure large numbers of devices connected to your Mac via USB with the settings, apps, and data you specify for your students, employees, or customers. Apple Configurator features a flexible, device-centric design that enables you to configure one or dozens of devices quickly and easily. Simply select a single device or many at once and perform an action. With Apple Configurator, you're able to update software, install apps and configuration profiles, rename and change wallpaper on devices, export device information and documents, and much more. You can also inspect any device to see details like serial number and hardware addresses, which apps and profiles are installed, and its console log. Apple Configurator integrates with device enrollment and purchasing in Apple Business Manager or Apple School Manager to seamlessly distribute apps from the App Store. The all-new Prepare assistant makes it easy to supervise and configure a cart of iPads for the classroom or quickly enroll a large number of devices in your MDM server for ongoing management. The built-in configuration profile editor supports creating and editing profiles with the latest iOS settings. If you’re configuring devices in an environment where consistency is critical, Blueprints allow you to create a custom configuration for your devices that can be applied with one click. A Blueprint is a template device to which you add configuration profiles and apps and perform actions, just like you would to a connected physical device. Fully automate Apple Configurator and integrate its capabilities into your existing device management workflows using the included command-line tool, AppleScript scripting library, or Automator Actions. Support for iCloud Drive enables you to keep your configuration profiles and other settings consistent across multiple Configurator stations.

  • How can it be this bad?!?!?

Apple removed the ability to organize apps via iTunes, and the Configurator tool is infuriatingly buggy! I’m getting so done with Tim Cook’s Apple! Everything is getting worse for power users!
  • Needs App Rating System Update

I use this to control content for myself and my family. However, the app needs to be updated to follow the new App Store age rating system. After updating my iPhone to Liquid Glass, I “lost” access to apps that were previously allowed under the old rating system due to broader categories.

This app simply quits and refuses to work on macOS Tahoe.
  • You just need to “think different”.

Sure, memorizing the Rosetta Stone to put your M-Series MacBook in DFU is great. Left Control, Left Option, Right Shift, Hold Power 10 seconds, release Left Control, Left Option, Right Shift, and keep holding power for 7-8 seconds. Iconic! But this error after supposedly restoring your MacBook after 40 minutes of seeming success and bricking the laptop? Perfection. The operation couldn’t be completed. (AMRestoreErrorDomain error 9 - failed to get device information) Oh, and another after trying again! At least it IS different? Failed to restore device in recovery mode, libusbrestore error:21
  • Horrible, Awful Time Sink

I’m trying to set up local profiles to manage my own devices. This literal piece of garbage is the most unintuitive and difficult to work with piece of Apple software that I have ever had the misfortune of using. There is no good reason that creating a supervised profile to block DNS requests should take 20 hours.
  • Useless on Tahoe

Profile editing does not work for any kind of device on Tahoe. Hard to understand how they haven’t pushed an update to this mission critical app.

After upgrading to Tahoe, the profile creation/editor page is now blank. I can’t create new profiles anymore.

This app is great when it actually works. Once the new update came out, the settings to update profiles is no longer there. Even if you wanted to create a new profile, you couldn’t customize anything. Really unfortunate.
  • works for me

I wanted to remove multiple apps at the same time from my iPad and it worked as expected!
