I can’t get to use my AUv3 guitar apps. Hard to set up Garage Band guitar amps. Spend way too much time trying to figure it out. Not going to renew my subscription in March.
  • Subscription kills it

I mean, I tried it out and it’s great but I can’t emphasize this enough, why does everything need to be a freaking subscription? I have this on my laptop. I’ve bought the product already. You’re not really giving me anything spectacularly Amazing over that aside from the fact that now it’s on a touchscreen why do you feel like you need more money every month? If Apple did this with other apps(imagine notes or pages and the other Microsoft knock offs, on your iPad for 17.99 a month), people would 100% be unhappy about it. I’m not sure why this one is so many positive reviews.

This app is not worth the monthly payment. They have way better apps like BeatMaker 3 and FL studio that are one time payment and the app is all yours

There are a few things that I do like about this app but it need a lot of work…such as adding a sampler I can go on …
  • Paying for this app

    By Paying a subscription? Silly.
Why am I paying for this app? When I already own Logic Pro? It doesn’t make sense at all. Seeing I am a steady customer. Please fix this and make the app accessible and free to people who’s already purchased your iOS DAW.
  • Bugs everywhere

I really want to like this app. I keep using it but the bugs drive me mad. See original posting, plus some new ones. Like Mute suddenly not working, requiring to close the project and reopening again. Or the app crashing and on reopening, the project showing no tracks – but having a size of 1 GB. Which brings me to an issue everyone should be clear about: you need to have the desktop version of Logic Pro as well. Otherwise you can’t get rid of all the deleted tracks, you can’t resample your project, and so many more things. I knew that this wouldn’t have all the features of the desktop version and I was OK with that. I’m not OK with having to purchase the desktop version so I can do basic housekeeping of my projects. Original review: I love having Logic on the iPad. Integrates nicely with my edrums and mixer setup. The learning curve is steep, but I’m figuring it out. The built-in stem splitter works like a charm on my M2 iPad Air. But: There are bugs everywhere. From crashes when manipulating MIDI tracks, to notification badges that indicate something is new but you can’t find out what and can’t get rid of the badge. But the worst is a completely broken audio out. I feel that into a mixer and need to set the mixer to the sample rate of the audio data. Turns out that Logic Pro only sends audio at 44.1 kHz, regardless of the project setting. Worse, it does that about 99.5% of the time. Sometimes it’s a different rate but that will quickly revert to 44.1. After the last update, changing the project sample rate doesn’t seem to have any effect on the project, either. This isn’t really ready for prime time. But I got the 1 year subscription so now I’m a paying beta tester. I’m OK with that, but you should think hard about whether you are…
  • Why is the only option “Apply Region Tempo to Project’?

Why is the only option “Apply Region Tempo to Project’? Why can’t I analyze the tempo anymore? You’ve overcomplicated a simple app and now it’s rendered useless.

    1) Unusable Live Grid mode — too much clutter on screen, strange workflow. LK is much better at this. 2) Step grouping in patterns don't reflect odd measures like 7/8 or 5/4, etc 3) MIDI clips in Live Grid are created as 2x4/4, whatever is your actual project measure like... again 7/8, etc. 4) No floating plugin windows, only Garage Band-like. Imagine working like that with a granular sampler while recording live samples in it and playing with them. 5) No MIDI tracks and Environment view from desktop Logic, so working with real gear is... complicated if you're not a hipster. ... and so on. Unfortunately. :(
