Keep up the good work APPLE with numbers….it’s just just as good as Excel
  • WHY no major updates?

I just tried to use this program instead of updating Microsoft Office. One file I could easily do it but another I had to go back to Microsoft. I really do not get why Apple doesn’t put any effort into their office programs. Especially just adding some additional very very basic toolbar buttons for basic functions. There are a lot of people that don’t need all the bells and whistles you get from Microsoft. All Apple has to do is update a lot of the basic functions that you find in a spreadsheet and word processor, etc..

After many years using Excel, it was quite a leap of faith to migrate to Numbers. Being retired, the needs of the business lessened for the need of Excel. Numbers does the trick and the more I use it the more I’m loving it.

Very easy to use, but if you’re used to Excel, it will take some time to transition. Actually, it uses less key strokes, but because it’s easy, it takes longer to figure out the first time.
  • Great!

  • Forcing updates to work with ONE other person on identical setup?

Hey, foolishness, how about allowing two people on two macs sharing a document in icloud on the same os, same numbers version, get to continue to use and share those documents on those devices and software until they decide to update, not just one day you arbitrarily decide to break sharing for us mid work week without any warning, anything changing on our end, or good reason. What a joke... rather, what an abuse of customers trying to work hard and help other people. My bad, I forgot you have to take care of shareholders (as if you didn't have enough $$$ already), not the people who actually pay you for the right to get whipped around.
  • Much more forgiving than excel

Both Numbers and Pages are easy to use and have all the most commonly used features readily available. They both work great for me and my needs.
