I use Keynote to make complex scale mechanical drawings and electrical schematics. With the proper scale factor, I can print smaller drawings full size with accuracy of about 0.01

Keynote is a fantastic tool for creating presentations, especially in a college setting. From my experience, it’s very user-friendly with a clean interface that makes designing slides simple and efficient. It’s packed with useful features like animations and templates that help make class presentations more engaging. Overall, it’s a great choice for students who want professional-looking slides without a steep learning curve.

I love using Keynote but the only reason I didn't make it 5 stars is because I'm still learning how to use it. Once I really know how to use it, I think I can really master using this app.
  • Used to be easy to use

Too many updates make Keynote difficult and nearly impossible to use.

It rocks and I've only just started to understand how dynamic it really is.
  • Infinitely better than PowerPoint(less)

I like simple, not frills presentations that are clear to read and without distractions. Keynote offers a very trimmed down and straightforward approach to developing presentation slides and handouts that are easy to edit, combine with other presentations, and can be used across the Mac/Apple universe. Its interface is simple and trim. 99% of the time I need to create a slide, pop in a graphic or equation, and move on. I don’t need fancy animations, or any of the millions of bells and whistles that the competing product by MS seems to want everyone to use. Importantly, for me, it allows easy integration of mathematical equations using a LaTeX-like interface and it’s easy to import graphics from Mathematica.

… but I can’t find a way to link a video file, stored on the same device, to play. Otherwise, Keynote is great, I learn something new almost every time I use it, but I just haven’t found a way to solve my problem.

I like Keynote about the same as PowerPoint. However, PowerPoint has an excellent feature with suggested layouts. This is especially helpful when trying to format multiple photos on a slide.
