  • Love it but needs LUTs

I can do everything I need to do with FCP on my IPad… BUT, if you shoot LOG you can’t import LUTs, which sucks. Fix that and I’m happy.

I’ve been a FCP user since FCP 3. When FCPX came out I was an early adopter and still use it to this day. Now that FCP for iPad is out I find myself using it quite a bit and I love it. I’m using an iPad Pro 11” M4 and it works very smoothly. It really opens up the capabilities of the iPhone as well. I’m shooting a lot of stuff on iPhone 15 Pro Max and 17 Pro Max and the way it all works together so seamlessly is great. However, I’m eagerly waiting the addition of more functionality as well as opening it up to third party plugin developers.
  • Quite disappointed in how buggy it is.

It’s very limited in features and extremely buggy in the features it does have. Not very intuitive either, tbh. Very unlike Apple. Disappointed that they will keep products around that should be great, but get ignored and start falling apart.

  • Good But Could Be Much Better

I’ve made the commitment to use this video editor as my primary editor because I really enjoy the texture and tone that it produces vs Luma Fusion. However, Luma Fusion is feature rich, and if I didn’t believe in Apple’s ability to innovate, I wouldn’t use this app. We’re missing a lot of features. Third party plugin support (audio). If audio edits must be native, apple owns the APIs for some powerful native audio plugins. Let’s put these M processors to some real work. Can we please have a parametric EQ, a better Compressor UI, Reverbs, DEsser, etc.etc. The basics. Can we also have Image Stabilization? Better Masking. And why does iMovie have more edit panels than Final Cut? 🤦🏾‍♂️ I’m still subscribed but not seeing any updates that these subs should be paying for.

I’ve been using this app for about 5-6 months and there is ALWAYS an issue from downloads not exporting , unsaved edits and app completely lagging and closing out completely hindering all recently edited work !! You all will charge people for anything. This app should be free !!

I’ve been enjoying Final Cut Pro on the iPad, it had been working fine until today. Now I’m dealing with constant export issues and repeated crashes, which is incredibly frustrating. Apple should consider providing a credit when the app doesn’t work, because no one should be paying for a service that isn’t being delivered. It’s time to hold these billion dollar companies accountable.
