For the first time I ever used it I like it. There’s a lot of templates where you can write whatever you need to write down Apple did a great job.

I would like to be able to do simple markup on .pngs (screenshots) the way Text Edit does. This would save me a LOT of time. Even opening in Preview, then saving back to Pages would be fine.
  • Inserting a Hyperlink

After the update, inserting a hyperlink wasn’t straightforward. I tried making a link from a YouTube URL and it kept embedding the video automatically.
  • Very Nice!

Having used Open Office for many years, I must admit I miss having all the “necessary” tools contained in a multi-functional package. However, Open Office is not being kept up to date with Mac IOS updates and is not working as smoothly as it once did. SO, using Pages is becoming “de regueur” to the point of being intuitive. What tools it does contain are solid performers, though strict in their implementation.

All I need and then some. It’s worth it to know I have a light weight text editor available when I need it and it’s not from Microsoft.

I think my original word processing/writing formats were PC oriented so that seems intuitive to me. Anytime I want to try something different with pages, I have to go to help. I don’t dislike it enough to buy a new software, for now.
