Great app. Definitely recommend for those who what to make pro videos but don’t want something too complex. Would really like to see the app get more frequent updates and new features like the other editing tools

Once you learn FCP you will be a weapon and turn all your dreams and ideas into content and memories. It’s the best!

Locking new features behind a subscription after you guys barely updating this app at all to be competitive with other NLE apps. Waste of my time and money. Moving on to a better company thanks.
  • Tools I miss in FCP

As a FCP editor since the year 2000, I miss tools that used to be in the old versions . The new time line is not the most comfortable platform for a film editor . Most Disappointment of all, , as a documentaries , is that I can not digitize or connect any old video camera with tape cassette to FCP for using history footage . It is important to have the novelty and create new tools for better future, yet it is no less important to respect the past , and follow the basic and give the opportunity for for people like that used the basic tools , and you eliminate them . Thanks . I wonder if it is doable to consider my needs.

I paid for this software outright. Locking “premium content” behind Apple Creator Studio really sucks and breaks the original value proposition. :(
  • Best for Me.

Complicated for a part-timer, but I love it. I’ve not found anything I can’t do or create, just takes a bit of study. Integrates well with Mac.
  • Professional Quality without the bloat

Look I get it, sometimes like Homer Simpson we think more means better. Lisa asks Homer, why are you using so many star wipes on this video we are editing, he replies, “why eat hamburger when you can have steak.” FCP is fast does everything I need it to, doesn’t constantly break like other products and helps me and my team put out a professional tv show once a week. Could it do more, yes! Just a few things would help me, like embedding CC in MXF files, but for the most part it has everything I would ever need and more.
  • Good but could be better.

It’s very capable but it does seem like it’s old. There are lot of things I’d expect from a modern editor that this just doesn’t have or is clunky. I hope improvements are coming in future.

Final Cut Pro is long overdue some TLC. The impressive AI features available in even simple competitors are way more impressive than anything FCP 11 can do. Come on, Apple. This is embarrassing.
