Final Cut Pro is exceptional. For a beginning creator like myself, I could not ask for more. I am still learning, but looking forward to what I will be able to do once I master this wonderful program. Well worth every penny.

I use this for all of my video editing for tiktok, instagram, facebook and youtube and allows me to take 4:3 footage and convert it to the aspect ratio I need for the various social platforms.

I’ve been using Final Cut for many years and it fits my needs pretty well for the degree of video editing I use it for. I’ve been using it in tandem with a few other editing apps but when I need to get a bigger project done I always hop into Final Cut and the results are solid for more intricate editing. I do a large amount on my phone but I love having this to jump into its just so much more precise. Plus the value of purchase to be used no mater what computer I am on and a perpetual license still rings solid today for the investment. If you need other programs that’s great but Final Cut is a my home base. -Simeon Jenkins

I enjoy working with Final Cut Pro X, I accepted it when it came out and even enjoyed watching it grow, EXCEPT YOU CAN’T HAVE ANY AUDIO UNITS ACTIVE WHEN YOU START IT UP!!! This seems to be a Native Instruments issue when I checked online, but my experience says different. It will not get past the validating audio units step. Get better Apple, this is GARBAGE!
  • Like Contortionist Torture for Trad NLE Editors

I'm an Apple user and SO MUCH wanted to like Final Cut Pro. I like the file management and the one time price tag. But I've sadly concluded it's a totally stupid, and for many, a nearly unusable design. Long time editDroid, Montage, Avid, Premier, Davinci, CapCut users all have to forget everything they ever learned and force themselves into Apple's new improved way of thinking! Really? The magnetic feature is somewhat appealing, but it should have just been a toggle for any timeline... use it or not. You should be able to add a timeline track layer with a single visible click, and toggle visibility/mute with a single click without the role runaround. The names of features should have remained at least somewhat conventional. Try to add a track between layers, name it as is traditional for NLE editing organization, and place a clip in an isolated position there. It can't be done. It just drops down to the nearest lower clip. NO way to turn this off! Even P tilde doesn't work. You can fake this by adding timeline layers with stretched generators BETWEEN every layer you want to add clips to, but REALLY? If Apple had just kept traditional editing conventions and ADDED the magnetic feature as a toggle for any timeline track layer, and allowed clip placement anywhere in that layer rather than magnetically falling down to the next lower clip or the main timeline (storyline), Final Cut COULD have captured the entire industry as the standard. This would have made main Storyline lovers happy and trad NLE users at least able to use the app. But they took it WAY too far, and made it nearly unusable for anyone other than Apple die hards. It's like painful contortionist torture for most conventional NLE editors. Again, IMHO, just hubris and arrogance by design.
