This app sucks, it’s so slow and always giving me the pinwheel of death. Mind you my laptop is specked almost at Max RAM with 24GBRam and 500GB memory. This app is also so confusing and takes forever to complete a task plus when adding lots it completely washes the video. Video used it 6k at 24fps. Tried this with a 30 second video and man, I should switch this trash

While Final Cut 11 may not seem like a grand update on the surface, the tools implemented into the update make editing so much easier, particularly the mask tools like the green screen mask and magnetic mask; not a lot of cleanup you have to do on the subjects that you want taken out of the footage and footage maintains clarity throughout. Excellent stuff!
  • Works Great if you can deal with crashes

I’ve been using FCP as a full time youtube editor for multiple channels for the past several years. I love how fast & intuitive the editing is. I don’t do animation so can’t speak to the fluidity of Motion/FCP but it works for everything else I need. I love how you can use multiple formats different cameras frame rates the timeline is never fussy about it it just accepts everything with ease. Now the downside is it has been crashing more since FCP11. It’s a minor annoyance it’s not catastrophic bc the autosave is pretty good I’ve never had it crash and lose whatever I was working on before. The fact that it’s a pay per once editing platform is what wins it over for me. If it goes to subscription base eventually I would probably just move to Resolve.

This has revolutionized my video editing. For the price you pay, you get 100x’s the value. It’s easy and seamless. Final Cut has streamlined my video editing, saving me time and money.

I used Adobe before. It takes a bit to get use to but essentially is the same level of quality. It’s probably easier to learn than Adobe, but it’s painful to move from Adobe to FCP.

I got this software for Christmas last year but before committing to buying I used the 90 day free trial which isn’t advertised at all when I see Final Cut promoted but I highly recommend before buying. Only pet peeves are that it does take up a lot of storage so you will have to clean out your library every time you make new projects if you don’t want to have half your storage taken up which is to be expected with editing, but also you have to import a pack of sound effects if you want any which I didn’t know until I watched a video and unintentionally heard about how to do it. I’ve been editing all of my YouTube videos on here and I’ve never loved something more, not sure its worth the price but all and all its a great app!
  • Amazingly Powerful and Easy To Transition From iMovie Video Editing Software

I looked at purchasing Final Cut five years ago, but iMovie came free with my Apple iMac and didn’t think I needed it. I was wrong, Final Cut is a feature filled video development and management tool, and represents a quantum leap over iMovie. The great news is that iMovie files are compatible and the relatively easy transition to Final Cut will exponentially improve the professionalism and “WOW” factor on your existing and future videos. Would recommend anyone serious about their video editing buy Final Cut without question!
