FirstNet Messaging has long enabled rapid, two-way, highly secure communications for public safety, but new capabilities are expanding first responders’ access in the field. Users can now better communicate with different audiences, controlling what media can be shared and allowing public safety to define message delivery based on contact lists or even geographical areas. Group chats can also now be transformed into video conferences or voice calls instantly and allow users to share locations to coordinate better response efforts—giving agencies the power to prioritize communications and interoperability during special events and emergencies. Only available to FirstNet subscribers in the U.S.
