App seems to be draining battery when getting back to back spam calls

I have the free version of Active Armor. However, the app literally puts a banner blocking the top of your phone every couple of minutes trying to coerce you into getting the pay version. I’m sick to death of it.
  • I don’t understand the positive reviews

AT&T cannot call me to help with tech support because their calls go to voicemail. I cannot call myself from any of my line despite marking myself as not being spam. While actual spam calls are greatly reduced (I still get spam fake job offers via text) , most callbacks that I actually want, go straight to email.
  • Pure Garbage

This app blocks about 30% of spam calls. The rest it lets through like a blind bullfighter. I get two or three spam calls every day that don’t even show up in this app yet my phone rings and the number is listed in my iPhone call history. Don’t waste your time with this app. Everyone associated with designing it should be fired.

We have recommended this to all family and friends. Loved it and was working great. Now the app is pages of sales pitch and marketing. I just want the call log back to block calls.

  • Showing ads in notification

I got a notification that is an ad for their service, not a phone call notification. It said “Bank with Confidence Block Suspicious Websites.” You can’t be showing me ads for services without giving me the option to turn off the ad. This is a violation of Apple’s App Review Guidelines 4.5.4 “Push Notifications should not be used for promotions or direct marketing purposes unless customers have explicitly opted in to receive them via consent language displayed in your app’s UI, and you provide a method in your app for a user to opt out from receiving such messages. Abuse of these services may result in revocation of your privileges.” I have reported this to Apple. Edit: your response is garbage. You say it’s not marketing. The notification is promotion for a paid service. “Push Notifications should not be used for promotions or direct marketing purposes” is not ambiguous.
