Brother iPrint&Scan is a free app that enables you to print from and scan to your iOS device (iPhone / iPod touch / iPad). Use your local wireless network to connect your iOS device to your Brother printer or all-in-one. Some new advanced functions have been added (edit, fax send, fax preview, copy preview, machine status). For a list of supported models, please visit your local Brother website.     Most recent update Nov 2024 causes issues with particularly scanning. This is a problem with both iPhone scan and pc scan. Scans one page and times out scanning follow-up pages. Works fine until apple updates. Then no consistent connection. Latest apple update on Feb 4, 2023 causes no connection again. Guess I’ll just look to a third party app to connect. Just gets frustrating every update. This has been a problem from previous updates as well.

    Scanned a 25 page document and tried to share to OneDrive via Files — it wouldn’t. So I shared to Dropbox and it said that it saved — but when I looked it wasn’t there. So I opened the app again to reshare it and … lo and behold, the app immediately deletes old scans! Geez. What a crock. Hire some UX people, would you?

    For me, the app works fine. I was not able to access files from one drive, so I had to reinstall the app. Other than that, the app works fine and does what it needs to do.

  • Can’t print pdf with annotations.

    After filling out a PDF and trying to send it to I print and scan for printing on our brother printer, I noticed that it refuses to print all the annotations I have added. If I just select the print option from iOS, those annotations do appear, but can’t print from there directly. I have to share it to the brother app and the annotations disappear when going to the i print & scan app. There’s no option i can find to print annotations in the app.

    Brother didn’t warn anyone that printers would be dropped from support in Mac Sequoia. Not updating this app until I see good reviews. Bricking my scanning capability on my laptop wasn’t nice. I don’t want it bricked on my phone too.

    The app locates my machine, if only it would allow me the option of printing and scanning…. For some odd reason it only allows me to print from the app. What’s the problem, app is up to date.

    App shows option for two sided printing but ignores user attempts to a set two sided printing job. Printer is an MFC-L3750CDW.

    The settings on the printer app are very limited; you cannot make the document more darker, bold or italic (or part or the document), crop and other. That way I could print the documents the way I want from my iPad or iPhone.

    I’ve been using the app for a while and it works great for me. It helps connect my phone to my wireless printer very easily and every time I’ve had to use it.

    After update this is no longer available to send documents. Will not see a document in files. Will print same document from source website.
