  • Just a Few Recommendations

Overall very solid app and glad to have the F3800 Plus’s as my home backup. My 3 recommendations for the app are: 1. Provide a dark mode option, I like have dark backgrounds in general. 2. Allow on the Home Screen to display the wattage coming in from portable solar panels plugged in to the F3800 DC ports 3. Be able to limit the charge capacity when using ‘time of use’ mode. Right now in order to cap it at 80% you have to manually switch to self consumption and change your reserves to 80%.
  • Does not stay

Twice now, I have connected to the solix and it works for a little while and then does not reconnect
  • App doesn’t work with iOS password autofill.

The anker service wants you to sign up to the web account - but it gets on the way of making that feasible. In the all, the signup email and password fields refuse to trigger and accept input from the password app autofill system. I’m not typing that stuff by hand. So no anker account.
  • Expansion battery

When using the expansion battery it always fully drains the expansion first and doesn’t treat the Solix and expansion as one battery. This needs to be fixed bc it defeats the purpose of having an expansion battery. Update the firmware!!

  • Inexcusably bad

Why do you need my email address? An account? A privacy policy? This is for a wall charger. Absurd. And it requires an internet connection ridiculous.
  • Consider Telling Us What We Are Downloading

“Functions Optimized” isn’t a release note, it’s telling me you’re lazy and don’t care. GJ!
  • Why anker.com.cn?

My password manager detected while I was signing up that the app is trying to store my credentials for anker.com.cn. I’m not knowingly giving a Chinese company access to my WiFi and Bluetooth communications and it seems disingenuous to not disclose that upfront.
  • Don’t want account or app

Features of products should not be restricted to use of an unnecessary app or account use when completely unnecessary
  • Requires internet for many functions…why?

I use the app to control the 160W charger’s modes so it doesn’t trip airplane outlets, but it needlessly requires internet for that, so you’re out of luck in the air. Consider changing this functionality.
