I use the desktop app all the time with no trouble. I just spent 40 minutes trying to access a book from the library, and I’m nearly in tears. I give up.

  • It’s Really a Negative Star

Just finished a great book - didn’t want to buy the sequel so I borrowed the ebook from the library, but it required this app to read. After 15 min of trying to get into the app, finally got the book loaded and the words are all pixelated and unreadable on the pages! Deleted and headed to the bookstore for a paper copy.
  • Flat world knowledge book download broken

This app is a joke. Trust the other reviews. I was prompted to download this garbage after purchasing a 20 dollar download of a book that I already paid for. This is unbelievable. Any teacher using this or flat world knowledge should be let go from their positions as they are unfit for teaching. This app is unusable on latest iPhone and IOS for a Flat world Knowledge pdf download. Trust the 1.2 star review. Truly should be a class action lawsuit against this app and the teachers using it.
  • Horrible

The desktop version is honestly terrible. The scrolling is painfully slow — I have to scroll five times just to get it to move a little, and even then it lags. Highlighting is just as bad. It’s super slow and glitchy, and half the time it doesn’t even highlight what I selected properly. Another big issue: when you exit the program, it doesn’t save your place. You’d think it would bring you back to where you left off, but nope you have to manually find your spot again. And while it saves all your highlights, it doesn’t organize them by chapter or section, so everything ends up in one big, confusing list. There’s no way to tell where each highlight came from. On top of that, trying to delete old highlights is nearly impossible because the whole system runs so slow. The entire desktop interface feels buggy and outdated. Honestly, the whole thing needs to be revamped from the ground up. It’s just not user-friendly.

Can’t use the search function without crashing the map. May work well for easy reading novels but terrible UX for technical literature.
  • Extremely glitchy app

This is probably the worst app I’ve ever used. I borrowed a book from the library and it took me about two hours to figure out how to use this glitchy app. There are still features in this app that I still cannot get to work. I cannot change the font in the text. And sometimes the app works, and sometimes it doesn’t. Adobe should know better then to promote an app this bad.
  • Apple Should Delete This App

This app does not work. At all. Apple should take this off the App Store, it’s that bad. I can’t believe Adobe just leaves this piece of garbage up and keeps pretending it’s even remotely functional. Even worse, schools (like mine) use this for DRM protection for textbooks. Awful. Adobe should be ashamed, honestly.

Absolutely the worst ebook reader I’ve ever tried. Almost impossible to get books into it, and even if you do the navigation is useless. The only reason I can think that publishers make you use this horrible app is so that you get so frustrated you go out and buy the paper version.
  • Can barely see past the book cover

My internet is not the issue. I have double and triple checked the connection. Every page seems to need to load individually although the full book is downloaded. 😒
