  • Frustrating

    Constantly crashes! You need to save your project as you work through retouching. To many times after investing hours on a photograph you are faced with the frustration of not being able to save your work, because unknowingly the app has quietly crashed without you realising it. Then there are the options that are so poorly designed they just don’t work or the tutorial explaining it is telling you how great the app is. I bought the full subscription thinking I was getting a professionally based retouching app, what I got was aggravation.

    I have used Photoshop for years. I did not find this as user-friendly as I assumed it would be. I’m sure after a few more exposures it will be fine, but it didn’t seem to do as much as I would’ve hoped.

    I have used PS Express a lot, and been loyal Adobe customer for many years ( here and there, several years of no editing). Recently I’ve had to cancel my renewal in 6/2026. Suddenly the app kept forgetting that I still had membership and would only open to a fresh screen asking me to upgrade. I selected restore purchase and other times I selected the upgrade to premium and it would give me access, at first it worked ( 2 or 3 times) then it fell into a hole and the app locked up 80% of the time, I had to delete the app from my phone and reinstall several times to get it to work; then it stoped restoring my purchases and just locked up. I tried logging out and logging in, I created a new password and noth helped, I have researched what to do and asked on the site, and get the same thing. When ever I try to add premium instead of restoring purchases , it knows that I have an active membership, but it will not maintain the app with premium features. I hate getting locked out every freaking time I open PS. I am going to look elsewhere for a photo editor if this can’t be fixed soon, enough is enough; I have bearded of Snapseed, AI Photo. Anything would be easier right now, I can’t believe it’s doing it during the holidays, so frustrating I want to just give up on PS Express, but I’ll see what I get for help.

    The free version of this app used to be great, but as time goes on, features were slowly but yet consistently removed to the point where I am no longer interested in using this app at all. Can’t open certain image types such as webp, can’t use certain fonts anymore, can’t adjust text height/width, can’t have multiple text items… these are just some of the most recent features that have been removed that made me delete this app for good.

    I have used photoshop on my pc for years, thought I would give the app a try. You have to have a subscription to even import a single image onto a blank canvas. Completely useless! Canva offers so much more for free. Adobe should be ashamed.
