Everyone around me connected this to their phone with ease. However, with me and AT&T, I have to request a QR code and connect an ESIM in order for me to use Saily. AT&T customer service doesn’t know what I’m talking about with this QR code thing.

Long time Airalo user trying something different given the offers and lower rates. Unfortunately you get what you pay for. The service is usually performing much worse than my main SIM card running on the exact same networks (weaker/no signal). It will too often drop the signal entirely while my other SIM has a full signal. The speeds are also not super great, only getting LTE while my main SIM gets 5G on the same network. The app is also not great. It seems like the app doesn’t do anything client side, so if I want to open it up and see how much data I have left when I’ve seemingly run out, nothing will load. Just blank screens until I get on WiFi to see what happened. Reloading when I might have low data left, or slow speeds on my other SIM card, is also very difficult because the reload pages are in-app browser pages. Likely will not be returning when this trip is over.
  • Beware: This App Can Steal Your Money

I came across this app through Veritasium on YouTube and initially thought it was a brilliant concept. My first experience was positive—I purchased two eSIMs, and they worked perfectly. But things quickly went downhill when I tried to add credit. I attempted five times, and the app charged me roughly $80 without giving me any credit. When I reached out for support, they gaslit me by claiming they couldn’t see the transactions, despite my credit card company providing clear proof. It’s blatant theft, plain and simple. Their customer service is a joke—unhelpful, dismissive, and clearly automated with ChatGPT-generated responses. This is not just poor service; it’s outright fraud. Avoid this app at all costs unless you’re willing to risk your money being stolen. You’ve been warned.

so far, so good! Coverage is highly dependent on the host country’s capacity but has been useful in a pinch. Excited to try it out in more countries, will come back to leave a review with each new destination! Peru: ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (3.5 stars) Japan: New Zealand:

My wife and I just completed a 2.5 week trip throughout Italy. Wanting to keep our bases covered, we got Saily eSIM for my iPhone 16 and Airalo for hers. Good decision because sometimes mine worked and hers didn’t. Other times it was the opposite. But the coverage overall was very spotty and unreliable. We were in major cities (Venice, Florence, Rome, Pisa, Sorrento, Positano). So there’s no reason we shouldn’t have more consistent coverage (indoors and outdoors). That being the case, if you are choosing one of these two eSIM providers, don’t bother buying anything more than 5 to 10 GB because it’s highly unlikely you’ll sufficient internet access to require any more than that. We bought 20 GB of data and didn’t come anywhere close to using it all.

I cannot tell you how much money I’ve spent on Airalo for the sims to never work! Honestly this worked like a charm for my two week India trip and then a one day Germany trip. I will never use Airalo ever again!!! The data is super fast and reliable and the top up is easy. When you’re down to 0.8 gb, it’ll kinda slow down a lot so make sure to the check the app for top up’s. One thing I want to mention, make absolutely sure that your app refreshing is off! It’ll eat up your data unnecessarily otherwise. And close all apps, don’t keep them open.

I purchased a 30 day plan, started it up, no issues. My friend did the same, but his phone was locked to a carrier, so he could not use the plan he paid for! Fine no worries, he will just have to go through his current carrier. But what about the $20 he spent on the data plan for the trip from Saily? Well he gets nothing back, even though he never even actived the plan. Well then if thats the case, maybe we can make the best of it by using it on my phone! Well, guess what, its locked to his phone so no one else can login and use the data plan. Just poor customer service, won’t be using again. If I am wrong, Saily please let me know and help me out. However, if your phone is locked to a carrier you cannot use Saily, which is fine.

So you know you’re gonna get the most horrible, slow, burnt, clipped 20kbps LTE IPs they can dredge up

Spent two hours with their support team trying to get data and text access going . They literally walked me through the same troubleshooting process 3 separate times. Asked to chat with a supervisor 3 times, was denied. Possibly an issue with either the location (mexico) or iPhone version, but their support capabilities are extremely limited. Complete waste of time and money

I bought a global plan service that supposes to be global, paid the highest fee, to discover that global is some certain countries and I have to buy individual plans for certain countries that they said clearly it is under the global plan. And when I asked them to refund the balance so I can purchase a plan for the country I am in, They refused
