    09JAN26 UPDATE: iOS Ad-Blocking Fix I discovered an iOS 26.2 (with Private Relay) workaround that reinstates ad-blocking since the app hasn’t been updated for at least 3 weeks, this after countless hours troubleshooting: 1. Settings (toggle Post quantum encryption AND prevent VPN bypass to ON) 2. Select (Location and protocol) 3. Select (a Specific location (eg: city)) 4. Select VPN protocol (NordLynx) The responses from Nord appear disingenuous, as when reaching out to support link, within app, your credentials do not transfer to chat support, treating you as a potential new client; this appears intentional. It has all become rather pointless. After countless hours of troubleshooting, Nord appears it couldn’t be bothered, incapable of understanding that all the advertising in the world won’t be sustainable if the product doesn’t function as advertised. Do not placate me and others with links which do not provide valid support. BE WARNED! SurfShark is also a Nord property / product, so expect the same experience. — Disappointed, unsure if Nord is actually doing what it says it’s supposedly supposed to, given their last update appears to have brought all ads back, and rather aggressively at that. When and if Nord does discover it has an issue(s), Nord needs to be transparent, rise to the occasion, and admit what is currently transpiring; otherwise, it undermines its asserted credibility, causing users to spend pointless hours troubleshooting.

    I bought this for international travel and it prevented me from doing anything and it was so slow that I stopped using immediately. Waste of money and you don’t get your money back!

  • Messes up websites and can’t work on cruise

    Does not work with cruise ship Wi-Fi. A lot of things don’t seem to work with this. Some of my regular websites that I go to don’t even load with this on . Had to turn it off. It will auto renew! Make sure that you cancel it or you keep getting charges and they won’t refund even if you’ve had it paused.

    I’ve been using NordVPN for 18 months and it works great. It’s very unobtrusive. My home network is trusted but the VPN is on when I’m away from home. It gives me peace of mind that my communication and financial transactions remain private. I’ve used it when traveling internationally as well without issue. Connection speeds are great.

    Just renewed for another 2 yrs. @ $2.69/mo = $64.96 Total. AND, I immediately turned OFF the Auto-Renew. I had it set off this time. When I renewed they sneaky-like we t behind me and flipped the switch to Auto-Renew. Wiser now, I immediately flipped the switch to OFF Auto Renew. Yeah, last time I thought Auto Renew was off, they turned it on when it was renewed. Just like today. But, today I immediately turned it off. Auto-Renew wouldn’t be so bad IF they didn’t jam you up for a renewal with ALL the options, and the longest renewal time period. Options I did not buy by choice, last time around. They’re still a great service, quite reliable, and just in the background. I do find theirMesh-Net system to transfer files between devices to be convoluted & tricky. I’ve used Nord VPN about *5* 7 years now. Very reliable & good features. BUT! If you use Apple Pay, or credit card, & who doesn’t? Be careful. They will auto-renew at over double your sign-up. It’s silent, you won’t know you got raked for Time and a half until your credit statement arrives, or your account is drained. Angry experienced.
