    I just downloaded Nord Locker, I thought it was cool they had an app. I need to go through my storage, my subscription expires soon. On the app when I deleted stuff, the items would come back. So it didn’t delete…talk about frustrating. I will say I like that it’s encrypted but they need to work on perfecting the app.

    I paid for the premium subscription in hopes to utilize the 2T of storage for photos and videos. Unfortunately they don’t automatically sync and the systems are not compatible for such a request. Don’t bother paying for the premium plan, they make it extremely difficult to get your money back after the 30 day, if you want just a VPN okay but don’t bother upgrading. I got ripped off and can’t even cancel.

    Mobile and web app have major failings. Mobile app preview is bad and doesn’t allow you to view even a thumbnail for larger files. Web app doesn’t allow you to watch stored videos, you have to download them to your computer. Also, uploading data takes forever and you can’t just put it in a folder and it uploads in the background like OneDrive or iCloud.

    Why do I have to open the file I want to download before I can save it on my device. This is really annoying because I always have to do that before I can get what I can I want to save on my iPhone. It’s really annoying. Please do something about it.

  • Love NordVPN, But This Is Abysmal

    I love Nord as a overall company (great VPN) and I trust that Nordlocker keeps my data secure. That being said, this mobile app has such an enormous lack of functionality that I am considering using another service (despite already paying for a year of NordLocker) - I'm very unsatisfied. Some of the functionality would be reasonably easy to program, and couldn't possibly compromise security. The mobile app functionality requests I've thought of are as follows: Existing things that require improvement: 1. Previews/thumbnails - This was just implemented a couple months ago, but still doesn’t work correctly. They said you have to open the picture and the thumbnail will load. The problem is when I re-open the app after a few days, the thumbnail is gone again. Also, this is *only for photos*. Need video functionality (and docs too, why not). 2. Ability to rename files - You can rename files, but it’s difficult to find -Have more functionality buttons on the bottom of the screen as opposed to the top - Nowadays, with phones growing larger and larger (and larger) it is increasingly challenging/inconvenient to have the buttons on the top of the screen. Please make an effort to bring the buttons toward the bottom. Non-existent and EASY functionalities: 1. Ability to use landscape mode - If there's a landscape photo or video in my NordLocker, there is no ability to see it in landscape mode. This is very easy to program on an app-developer level. 2. Ability to swipe between files (left and right) - it's VERY inconvenient to have to exit out of a file (TWICE) and have to go all the way into another file every. single. time. 3. Dark mode - Please give the ability to use dark mode. Many customers entire devices and all their apps are in dark mode. Opening this and using it is comparatively blinding. 4. Ability to store offline/local so I don’t have to download every single time - This is the only functionality I’m suggesting that might have a security concern. Would still be very nice to have. All-in-all, abysmal one star rating for now. Will update if improvements are made.

    So Nord does a good job of setting up security however when you go in and it ask you for your recovery key, you can put the recovery key in there 100 times it will not take it your locked out of your account. There’s no reason to put data into this program when it will not let you have this stuff back when you need it. I hate it. Wish I’d never bought it.

    It has a nice design but missing basic things like selecting a file and moving it into another folder and the thumb nails don’t always load even after viewing a pic/vid

    I uploaded data files keeping strict account of passwords. Some files indicated a link with KDP. Now my KDP account has a Norge bank as my payment account. To much coincidence! Also all my passwords don’t work anymore. Be careful!
