I have the edge 830 and it is a pain to sync’s with Garmin connect. The device shows it connected to my phone but the it doesn’t sync my rides. I have to try multiple times and eventually it will. What a pain. It never used to do this

Just get the watch and the app downloaded. Let it do the work and as time goes what you see patterns and hence an opportunity to benchmark yourself every way of your health journey. It’s an ecosystem for your health. Cliche coming - just do it.

I downloaded this on my iPhone SE and it does not work. When you go to sign in, it says “sign in attempt failed”. I am up to date and am unsure what the issue is. I have used this application before and have liked it. Please fix this issue.

  • Annoying issues

    1. Why can’t I export my strength training activities? 2. Metronome should be off during rest times. 3. When I select a workout in the app it should accept and go back instead of forcing me to click back. 4. There is no way to report bugs to Garmin.

Being an Apple Watch/ Fitbit person, I had heard how people were really happy when they switched to Garmin. I wasn’t happy due to having to wear a Apple Watch and Fitbit at the same time because the Apple Watch wouldn’t read my steps correctly, so I wore the Fitbit for my steps but Apple Watch for the recordings of my workouts. Now that I’ve switched I can’t be happier only having to wear one device. So far so good, I’m still trying to get used to it. The more usage I get the more comfortable I get.

You can’t create your own exercise names in a workout. You have to pick from garmins random list and it never has what you need.

I’ve had Garmin products for years and the metrics and app help to keep me motivated. Most recently I’ve started tracking my hydration on this app which has more than doubled my usual water intake. The only wish I have is for the device and app to sync without me having to initiate the process. Otherwise, the app seems to get better each time it evolves.
