Description

The Garmin Drive™ app is a simple and convenient app solution for the latest Garmin automotive navigators and dash cams. Visit garmin.com/driveapp for a list of compatible devices. For compatible navigators, the Garmin Drive app provides real-time information for traffic, parking, advanced weather, and photoLive traffic cameras, in addition to smart notifications from your Bluetooth-enabled mobile device. For compatible dash cams, the Garmin Drive app provides quick access to camera controls, settings, and recorded footage. Up to four dash cams can be wirelessly connected with the Dash Cam Auto Sync feature to provide comprehensive coverage around a vehicle, offering various viewpoints recorded by the multiple cameras. The Garmin Drive app can create a “picture-in-picture” video from any two perspectives at the same time, making it easy to review video and also share videos with friends, insurance agencies, or legal authorities. Garmin Speak™ and Garmin DriveSmart™ 65 with Amazon Alexa are two Garmin products that bring what you love about Amazon Alexa to your vehicle. Just ask Alexa to hear music, news, and more. Also, enjoy Garmin turn-by-turn navigation. Stream the audio (music and other responses) from your vehicle’s stereo when you connect Garmin Speak to your stereo using Bluetooth® or AUX. Older Bluetooth-capable Garmin navigators are compatible with the Garmin Smartphone Link app, and older Wi-Fi-enabled Garmin dash cams can access video footage through the Garmin VIRB app.

Whilst I can pair the device to my iPhone 26 spot via the app, my two Mini Dash Cam 2 cameras never appear in the device list.

Garmin needs to fix the issue of needing to be connected to a camera just to see the videos in the vault. If they go from the camera to the vault when I save a video, there should be no need to connect to the camera now that you only beed one Vault subscription for more than 1 camera

$400 for a dash cam and then a monthly subscription to an app that does not work properly. I specifically chose this camera for access within an app and you still need to connect to the terrible “WiFi” of the camera which kicks your phone out of car play. Vault doesn’t work AT ALL. $10 a month for what exactly?!?!

constant disconnect and inability to reconnect in both iOS and Android. frequently reboot on its own, will not capture sometimes, some features do not work. tried brand new storage, different cables, restore and reset didn’t help. the support acknowledges the issues, their solution is a measly discount for a refurbished unit. if your warranty is expired, be aware that firmware updates will likely render your device inoperable. if it’s under warranty, they will only offer a refurbished (used) as a replacement.

I have tried everything to get this app to pair with my dash cam 3. Reinstall, reboot, airplane mode on off, nothing. I have an iPhone 16, with latest iOS. Am returning this awful equipment and software.
  • Love it for Public Safety

I use this app and my GPS for public safety in a big city. It’s always on point and super useful. Highly recommend. Sometimes the smart notifications get annoying especially with taking over my phone calls. I figured out how to disable them. So it’s all good.
