This app has a really obnoxious pop up that recently started demanding Bluetooth be enabled while the app is closed and not in the background. This pop up has the potential to cause accidents.

driving for Lyft has went down the drain. They lowered the base of the fair for the drivers. We are all working more and getting paid less. This is not acceptable. You punish the drivers for not accepting your low pay and tell the passengers we abandon them if we’re not preferred drivers. This is all your fault for our low acceptance rate rates.
  • Lyft is ridiculous

Let me just say I’ve been driving for Lyft for 3 years now and have done over 18,000 rides .. I’m also Elite Status which is the highest tier they have … the perks are decent for this tier and that’s being polite .. what my real issue is as a driver who works well over 50,60, hours a week … when I ask for extra streaks or ride challenges when I have none present they always say it’s nothing they can do .. it’s based of “driving habits” which is complete bull … the incentives are honestly what makes Lyft worth driving .. it’s an unbelievable amount of ware and tear on your vehicle .. and gas is a everyday thing on top.. without ride challenges and streaks Lyft just isn’t worth the hassle whatsoever… plain and simple … Lyft really needs to change how they give out ride challenges and bonuses .. ESPECIALLY when it comes to their elite and platinum drivers …
  • Unhelpful Support

Lyft doesn’t seem to understand what drivers go through. Most of the support agents I dealt with didn’t understand the terms of service or how to help. They just weren’t logically prepared.
  • Thinking about driving? Think twice

This started out as a great opportunity for a gig or making it your full time job but don’t trust it. They will get you comfortable and I know because I been doing it for years . More than most people. I made it my full time job. They let people go whenever they feel like it. I been driving well over 8 years and let me go because a customer said I might have been falling asleep without any evidence. I have two young girls and one just started school. You would be setting yourself up for failure. They live by the customer is always right when a customer could have a bad day and just make false claims and that’s your job. They let me respond and I let them know that I might have been getting tired and I stopped working after customer because I was doing something nice with my family. I might have been working 3 hrs that day when they fired me. I didn’t put any customer in the harms way. No accidents, no swerving or anything. Just trying to help others. After all that work I been doing and getting countless 5 star ratings smh.

I believe that Lyft should allow those who are 21+ to drive for them like Uber does. If you have a clear driving record, then I think it should be okay. I drive for Uber and none of the passengers seem to have a problem with it. I heard you can make a little more money driving with Lyft, but I have to wait a couple more years to be eligible.
  • Horrible pay

The pay is absolutely horrible. They’re offering $2 rides, which is seriously disrespectful. It's so frustrating that I can work for 12 hours and only make $110. My car is in the shop, and I have a rental from them that costs $350 a week. The pay has gotten even worse; it feels like they are really taking advantage of us. They seem to care only about making money, without regard for the struggles we face. I’ve been with Lyft for nine years, and the situation has gone down the drain; it’s just terrible. Fortunately, I work in healthcare, so I have something to fall back on. I used to do this to escape the craziness of healthcare, but now I’m not sure what to do. I’m struggling, but I know my worth. Once I get my car back, I think it might be goodbye to Lyft until they start treating people right again. Its just slavery at this point.
