    Been using this for almost 7 years now I think? it’s very reliable. It helps me check several email addresses at once. I can send emails on a time delay. Only function that doesn’t work for me is the calendar integration. never syncs up with my iCal app. Anyways, highly recommend.

    This is one of the worst apps I have ever installed on my Mac. It crushes the operating speed of the computer, is impossible to uninstall, constantly logs you out, and requests that you update the software before using it at least twice a week. On top of all the other issues, it’s actually MORE difficult to use than traditional email and makes it incredibly easy to accidentally delete emails or miss them entirely. If you’re someone looking for an easier way to manage email, skip Spark. This software is a poor excuse for “organized email” - stick to Gmail or your basic email service. Spark will be nothing but a headache for you.

    I’m of the opinion that Spark is simply the best email client on the apple platform. There are others that aren’t bad, but for the all the features, simplicity of the user interface, and all around appealing look and feel, Spark is the best. Give it a fair shake and you’ll find out for yourself.

    After having used spark for years, I fear it is time to leave. The search function is HORRIBLE. Things like including the words from, to, etc.. will break the search if you’re looking for text instead of actual tags. The app frequently crashes when searching for things. Also it sometimes misses results or orders them so incredibly poorly I’m starting to wonder if they have spent any time on it at all.

  • Minor Update? Sharp Clean Layout? Not So Much!

    The basic app is still very good and far preferable to most others. However, the new interface is NOT just a minor change from earlier versions. The addition of large, colorful icons for each message is very distracting, and the lack of visual separation between messages in the list is quite confusing, not “clean” or “sharp.” I find it much harder to scan quickly and easily (this is a Huge change). Also, the Spark window on the Mac desktop now requires a relatively large minimum height which significantly reduces the user’s ability to manage multiple windows on the desktop (also a Big change). The “Inbox View” choices (formerly Classic, Smart 1.0, and Smart 2.0) are renamed, but the functionality appears to be relatively unchanged (this does qualify as a “minor” change). Unfortunately, the app still does not seem to allow message sorting by Sender, though the two “Smart” Views (Unread Cards and Focused List) do some of this. In my limited experience, Mozilla’s Thunderbird app is best at providing the flexibility to sort on any field (read/unread, date, sender, alpha subject, etc.), though I do prefer Spark for other reasons.

    Downloaded app on iPhone and Mac. Went through the procedures for the App Passwords and after copying the password got consistent authentication errors. I get the need for security but the error messages provide any clue as to where the problem is. I don’t care if it’s a great app, I’ve wasted too much time on this, even though I have three other apps with working specific passwords.

    I have been using Spark for a couple of years. I wasn’t able to use it early this year after update it (now it works after I update my OS system), and during that time I tried to use other mail apps and they are just not as reliable and smooth as Spark. I love the ease to integrate over all my email accounts together. Thank you for this amazing app!
