Description

• This is the legacy version of Wipr, intended only for users of older versions of iOS and macOS. • Wipr 2 is now available, and it is strongly recommended for all users running at least iOS 17 or macOS 14 Sonoma. Search for “Wipr 2” in the App Store or find it in the “More by” section below! Wipr blocks all ads, trackers, cryptocurrency miners, EU cookie and GDPR notices, and other annoyances, so you can focus on the content that matters to you. It works in Safari and all apps that use Safari to display web pages. • Time, Data, and Battery Saver Web pages load a lot faster with Wipr, and much less needs to be downloaded. Your mobile devices will love this. • Private Wipr prevents countless trackers from invading your privacy. Wipr itself cannot, nor wants to, know what you do on the web. • Fast By using a new technology called Content Blocking Extensions, Wipr can do its job without slowing down Safari at all. • Up-to-date Wipr's blocklist is updated twice a week to keep up with the ever-changing web. • Honest No one can pay to unblock ads. There are no "acceptable ads". Wipr only answers to you. • Global Wipr will use an enhanced blocklist for Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, Thai, and Vietnamese speakers. • Smart You can set up Wipr in seconds, and it will update automatically in the background to block future annoyances. There is no configuration. This app was built with love and patience. I hope you'll enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed designing and building it. Wipr is also available for your Mac, look for it in the Mac App Store! Enjoy a cleaner web! Terms & Conditions: https://kaylees.site/terms-and-conditions.html

  • Giorgio is a criminal

This app is no longer supported due to the disgusting decision by Giorgio Calderolla to release Wipr2 and force users to buying Wipr AGAIN. If you paid for this app, you must pay this thief a SECOND time—for the same app. He is a deeply confused criminal whose products should be avoided. This man needs help.

Does what it says on the box. Worth the money as neither Adguard nor Blockada seem to work as intended. Some configuration would be nice to really make sure all the best lists (Annoyances, Anti-Facebook, etc.) are in place, but on the other hand, I haven’t had any concerns and I can appreciate the simplicity. Disclaimer: I do use Javasnipt and a DNS solution, dunno what things would look like if those things weren’t there. Browser-level adblock is always best complimented with a Pihole and JavaScript disabled by default, in my opinion. I also don’t use YouTube.

Wiper blocker is better then and other Adblock app in apple’s store, Oyeasure there’s a price behind it, A few dollars you get what you’re paying for service.. the free apps are almost always useless, in my opinion
  • Abandoned?

Developer has make a new version of the app that is purchased separately. Seems unlikely that development will continue. Probably best to avoid the new app too; who knows when wipr3 will come out.
  • Now I have to buy another version?

When I purchased this, I expected to be able to use it for life. Now I have to upgrade every few years to a new version? Pass. Also, it doesn’t even work on the most important sites I visit - I still get tons of ads that open as new pages on video streaming sites.

Does not block ads anymore. Why is there a new paid version for a safari extension? What about people who paid for this mediocre one?
  • Ok app

It worked when I first got it for a while, the it just stopped working… it became almost useless… the I see that now they offer a Wipr2… so instead of updating this one they just created a new one… that’s low… don’t buy this one or the other one as they will do the same they did here… it is a scam…

I hate it when some websites use JavaScript tricks to open links via popups and wipr when I first got it blocked sometimes but now it doesn’t do jack
