Description

Wipr blocks ads, popups, trackers, cookie warnings, and other nasty things that make the web slow and ugly. Websites in Safari will look clean, load fast, and stop invisibly tracking you. You’ll notice significant improvements to your battery life and data usage. Setup is a snap. Wipr’s blocklist is updated twice a week automatically, and has enhanced versions for the following languages: Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, Thai, and Vietnamese. Wipr 2 is a universal app: install it on all your devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Vision Pro) with a single purchase. It’s fully accessible with VoiceOver, Voice Control, and more. Dark and Tinted icon variants are included. Family Sharing is supported. Because it’s developed by a single independent developer and 100% funded by its users, Wipr only answers to you: no one can pay to have their ads unblocked, and there are no “acceptable ads”. This app was made with love and patience. I hope you’ll enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed designing and building it. – Kaylee Terms & Conditions: https://kaylees.site/terms-and-conditions.html

  • Better than “Advertised”

Works better than I even thought it could. I see zero advertising! Not a single problem with this app. And I look forward to more features being added in the future!

I purchased Wipr 2 earlier today. It does exactly what it advertises, blocks ads When you use Safari for your web access. The Times being what they are, I read lots of newspapers and magazines, and each, and every one of them has pop-up ads, or visual ads, or even 30 second mini-movies that effectively hold me hostage. Wipr 2 ended the ad tyranny. As soon as it was installed (installation takes 5 minutes) all of the ads were wiped out! This app is as necessary as YouTube.

I used wipr the original and upgraded to the next version wipr 2. Both have worked flawlessly at stopping the ever increasing amount of pop ups and videos while maintaining website functionality. Well worth the money.

I’m not sure why this app have such high reviews, despite paying for the full service, I still get tons of ads on website. I enabled everything and followed all the steps for enabling Wipr with but alas, still had ads. I mostly ignored it for months but finally got sick of it and looked for an alternative. 1blocker works with no issues so I suggest people try them out or any other more popular blocker.

But it doesn’t block the really annoying ads over videos on sites covered with ads. It’s fast on normal sites though and blocks a majority.

Not only does it work extremely well but it’s got a very “human” feel to it, like care was put into making sure you could set it up easily. I love the “set it and forget it” sort of makeup of the Wipr extension. I turned off Extra except for the site that makes you click Skip every few minutes, and it’s been working amazingly well.
