Control the basic functions of your Marantz product with power, volume, input and settings. Have direct access to Smart Select and Surround Modes. Network browsing is either done within the Marantz AVR Remote app or depending on model by selecting HEOS network as input which opens the HEOS app automatically.     I have two Marantz receivers in my house and the app randomly finds them. If it does find one, it’s usually the opposite of the one I want. Both are hardwired.

    When watching movies this is the only app left on my phone which blares with a bright screen and interrupts the movie. Also it loses connection with volume and can cause really weird behavior

  • Works great for adjusting volume and basic settings. Recommend.

    I don’t know what the problems are with people having difficulties with this app. With the occasional having to power down my Marantz SR 6014, I have found this app to be extremely useful. It has gone through several upgrades which have made it more stable at least for my receiver and I have been using it for three years now. I use this to do all kinds of adjustments while I’m watching content and hardly ever use the remote for anything. It feels like I’m the only one who really likes the app so it makes me query if some people just don’t know how to operate it or that their receivers are not able to connect with it properly. There are a myriad of reasons that this can be happening not the least of which is keeping up on updates or having a good Internet connection. We use ethernet to make sure that the connection to the Marantz is stable. I appreciate the work that has gone into the app and I just woud like the developers to know that I think they’ve done a good job.

    Wow- this app reminds me of early computer programming. We have the power of apps and interfaces and none of that is leveraged in this app. What you get are some functions that work but it could be so much more. Please hire a few designers and make this useful.

  • Need to reboot Cinema 50 to connect

    Have to reboot the cinema 50 occasionally for the app to connect. Or just stick with the remote. App design is pretty basic but works when it can connect. March 2024 - still unaddressed. Have to reboot the AVR just to use the app. ZERO Stars

  • App crashes, unstable, and slow

    Really disappointed in the app. My AVR is in a comm closet and the app is unreliable. Forcing me to purchase and install a wireless IR setup. The app fails to consistently connect to the AVR and crashes often in iOS.

    Since latest update the app won’t connect to my Marantz receiver. Never had this issue before. PLEAESE FIX THIS NOW!!

  • Worked great and now it won’t connect

    I purchased the Cinema 50 the day it was released and app worked great until about a week ago. It won’t connect to the receiver at all no matter what I do. I’ve tried resetting network on receiver, I’ve deleted and added app, I’ve tried just about everything but no luck.
