This app for iPhone and iPad will give you an unprecedented level of command and control over your 2014 or later model year network ready Denon AV Receivers (due to hardware differences, older models are not supported with this app. Please check the model compatibility list below; if your model is not listed, please download our previous “Denon Remote App”). Along with many new features, the graphics and user interface have been completely overhauled. Control the basic functions of your Denon product with power, volume, input and settings. Network browsing is either done within the Denon AVR Remote app or depending on model by selecting HEOS network as input which opens the HEOS app automatically.   • App won’t stay synced.

    Every time I leave my house or get out of range from my wifi and come back the app will not find my AVR-S970H. This is the same complaint everybody has and they just won’t fix it. I have my AVR in a location where the remote can’t get line of site. I need the app to control my system. The only solution is to unplug my AVR, wait two minutes, power it back on and then it can find the device. I’ll be returning my S970H and going with a different brand altogether. If the app worked the system would be perfect, but having to unplug and restart the system every time I get out of range of my wifi is ridiculous.

  • Restarting AVR S740H Fixed remote connection

    Don't know what happened, with the last few releases, but this hasn't been able to connect to my AVR S740H for a couple of months now.... Update: Held down the power button on the receiver until "Restart" appeared on the display - working again!

    This app is a must in my situation. My receiver is in the basement on a rack, and my speakers are upstairs in a great room. I also have two different Denon receivers and this app allows me to switch back-and-forth to choose the receiver I wish to control remotely. I can access receiver functions as well as playback streaming media, etc. using this app. There is a bit of a learning curve, but it works well. I had contacted Denon directly and this was the Remote app Denon recommended.

  • Dirac control menu missing

    The one thing I wanted to do from the app was change the Dirac live preset in use… and there is no Dirac option in the audio menu. Major oversight, or..?

  • Used to work well enough, now useless

    I’ve been using this app for years with my 3600, but it no longer works. Nothing changed on my end, so it’s clear that the last upgrade is to blame. I have a 10+ year old Yamaha receiver in another room that I can still connect to with the Yamaha app, so it is possible to not break mobile apps with aging equipment. I’ll hang onto the app for a few more weeks to see if it gets fixed or else it’s getting deleted, and my next receiver will not be in the Denon family.

    New updated version of the app 3.10.1 finally allows user to connect and control the receiver. Totally unexpected since according to tech support just few days ago, this application is no longer supported and most likely no updates any time soon. Definitely is a nice surprise!
