  • Inventory and time limit

The devs made a problem and sell you the temporary solution. You run out of inventory space fast and need to pay money to upgrade it. Time limits in fights means you need the best meta builds to clear endgame content with ease. It’s artificial difficulty. Beginning game is fun. End game is the worst tedious grind. Even for monster hunter standards.

I recommend do not download It’s really annoying at the start of the game. Because you only get five potions today.
  • Long time Hunter; not a lot of free time

As a ps1 MH Vet who is now a wife, a mom of 2 boys, and someone who is training a new puppy; I don’t have a lot of free time these days. MH Now has been a fantastic way to still scratch the hunting itch in my short bursts of random free time, instead of the long drawn out hunts of the console standard titles that I just don’t have the right kind of time for anymore. They’ve done a stellar job of distilling down the hunts into shorter 2 minute spurts and they can still be a fun challenge. Each monster requires thoughtful approaches and strategies. Personally I feel like Now has far more replay value than Wilds, to boot. My only complaint is that it’s cash heavy on anyone that hasn’t mastered the game and wants to play for more than a few minutes a day. The only way to get more than 5 potions a day is through the cash shop instead of the traditional potion crafting of other series titles. Once you get good enough though, you’ll find yourself not needing the shop potions. All the other shop things are frustratingly expensive but you don’t need any of them either. Would still highly recommend as it’s the most fun app game I’ve played. 2 years and Rank 216 at my slow pace, and still haven’t lost interest.

So you’ve spent 2 years upgrading weapons and armor and finally get to ten star monsters. only to find out your maxed out grade ten weapons and armor can’t even get them to half health in a perfect fight. I’m dealing tens of thousands of damage yet the mother’s health doesn’t go down. even nine star monsters are near impossible with weapons a full grade over the recommended level. not to mention how terrible the whole upgrade system is. i have equipment that requires 1500 items to fully upgrade and I don’t even get one item per monster kill. then they rolled out the style upgrades and even though i’ve killed hundreds of riftborn i’ve yet to get a single style upgrade item. and I need 10 just for one style. yet i can’t get one after hundreds of monster kills. I wouldn’t waste your time if you’re looking to get into monster hunter this is not the game i’d recommend.
