I really enjoy Pikmin Bloom. It’s relaxing, charming, and encourages walking in a way that feels light and playful. The little Pikmin are adorable, and the collecting aspect is genuinely fun. It’s simple and quirky in all the right ways. I used to love gaming. Either on the Xbox or other phone games. I love how this one lets you jump in as little or as much as you want with no time commitment. But the in-game economy is a letdown. Nectar disappears way too fast, friendship takes forever to build, and everything useful is way too expensive. $0.99 for only 100 coins? That barely gets you a handful of nectar…100 to be exact. For a casual walking game, the monetization feels unbalanced and discouraging. Let’s round up to $1 On average you can hold 25-40 Pikman. 35 for me - you can feed them 5 times every 2 hours. For $1 you can’t even get through 3/5 on all Pikman. If you want 5/6 - you’ll need to spend $4.99 for 550coins $10 will get you a whopping 1200 -in reality this can last you legit only a day. I’m level 37 and I’ve managed to play without spending money. It’s a lot slower. You can definitely still enjoy the game and make progress. But if you want to accelerate it more than normal. You will hit a paywall If that $1 could get you 1,000 coins and 1000 nectars. it would feel far more balanced. Esp because this game is simple with not a lot of other in game purchases. No large clothing options, no major devices that you NEEED. The graphics are cute but nothing like Elden ring or Genshin where currency feels a bit more important. Nectars are the only major issue. $5 = 5k = 5k nectars It would get me and probably a lot of others to spend money on it since it would be worth it. If the coin prices or nectar system were more fair, this would be an easy 5-star app.

I never played a Pikmin game in my life, but I really like this game and still play it, the only problem is that it’s kinda boring, like a more fancy step tracker, but the AR is kinda cool ig.

Pikmin bloom is a cute walking app game that fans of Pikmin will enjoy. I like the use of dandori between destroying mushrooms, finding treasure, and planting flowers. I especially love the skipping animation of the mii and the pikmin during the flowering phase. However, there are some bugs need fixing before I can rate the game 5 stars. The main bug is that when I swipe out of the app during the flowering phase or the wifi switches, the location of the mii glitches. Since the app uses location tracking, tracking apps like Google maps also get glitched, indicating I’m somewhere that I am not. I have to restart my phone to recenter my location. The other bugs are Pikmin getting stretched when strolling through the Pikmin collection. Sometimes Pikmin who returned from destroying a mushroom will not appear on the screen, but the Pikmin squad will respond as if they were there.

I love this game. It actually motivated me to get cardio. One thing I dislike is that we can only have 15 pikmin in our squad. I wish we could have more or we could have every pikmin we hatched in our squad. I hate putting these little guys on stand by 💔💔

  • Pay to Win Missions

I do really enjoy this game, it creates a fun incentive to walk more and therefore, exercise and get healthier. The most enjoyable part of the game is collecting the various types of Pikmin. My reasoning for the low review, however, is the frustrating RNG and pay to win aspects of the monthly event missions... Two months in a row now I've gotten hard stuck on my event missions because the mission to plant "1500 (special) flowers" is impossible to complete. Even if I defeat the maximum amount of free mushrooms every day, farming the necessary nectar needed to plant the special flowers takes forever because you can't guarantee you'll receive the nectar you need from the event mushrooms or corresponding color mushroom. Your best bet in farming nectar is to fight giant mushrooms and hope you get lucky with the drops, but finding giant mushrooms AND getting lucky is extremely difficult. This becomes a pay to win scheme because you are able to buy the special flower petals needed for the missions from the shop. This takes the fun out of the event missions for me because what's the point in just buying the petals to progress the mission? I'm fine with the shop charging real money for things like cosmetics, I'll happily pay for a cute cosmetic in a game I love, but effectively paywalling certain missions and locking the player out of progression is disheartening. I'm writing this review because I really want to see Pikmin Bloom improve... If the drop rates of the required flower nectar was adjusted during the event period so it was easier to farm the flower petals you need for missions, that would make the monthly events more fun and less frustrating. For example, if there's a mission to plant white sweet peas, then white mushrooms should be dropping white sweet pea nectar 99% of the time during the event period. I like participating in the event missions and they are my biggest incentive for playing Pikmin Bloom, but getting stuck like this makes me want to quit the game.
