Niantic Campfire

When you host a raid or join by the time you join whatever party you have set hope it’s what you need. If you’re hosting you may not get a party at all. It’ll notify you after the raid is completely over. I’ve waited 45 minutes on a half hour wait on a raid.

Loved it for like the first week then something changed and now we cannot rely on it at all to know what’s really happening around us with power spots. Niantic software is very poor quality. I mean how hard can it be, ask the server what’s in an area and display it. It’s just a map app that should be easy to make reliable.

The in-app map does not match irl spawns, so there’s no way to even see nearby max raids. You cannot find a group of people to play with, you cannot signal to other players that you’d like help at a certain raid... this app is completely useless.

This is an actually decent app. You literally don’t have to click “I’m going” JUST GO THERE. If you live in a rural or dead area, this app is great. Trust me, it’s 100% worth it. Ñø negative stuff to say.

I use campfire to look at a grid to a park i would like to play at to see if there even be one to make it worth while. Now it doesn’t even work. Not in the pogo game either.

I don’t use campfire for raids but I do use it for the meetups. It is hard to find when someone comments or posts. I can’t, for the life of me, figure out how to even make a post. I really hope they redo the whole layout of the app soon.

A nice companion app but UX is TOO SLOW, even on my iPhone 17 Pro Max. Also, desperately needs Dark Mode, custom reactions, & saving images to camera roll.

In theory this is a really amazing idea for an app especially for people like myself in areas with not a lot of pokestops or gyms. The reasons I’m rating this app so low is because it’s simply not as optimized as it could be the only thing you can do is join or host regular raids which limits you from shadow raids and dynamax raids. You also have no way to search what target you’re wanting to raid and have to rely on someone else hosting that raid for you to join. The frequent bugs and glitches this app has is also really annoying. You guys are multi million dollar corporation and can do better.

Dynamax raid bosses don’t update when there are short cycling events. If regular raids can be updated as they refresh, it shouldn’t be that hard to do the same with dynamax. I’m not going to drive around aimlessly in hopes of finding the one I want.

I am hosting a mega raid and it says 74 trainers "in que" but yet after I press "start hosting" I can only get 2/5 people in my que??? How in the world does that make sense? Niantic, Scopely, whoever, please fix this.
