  • Extension Frequently Doesn’t Work

    I love 1password… when it works. The problem is that the safari extension doesn’t function far too frequently. When you’ve timed out your password, you need to unlock the osX 1password app, but I still get gate kept by a message that says “open 1password” when I click the extension in safari. I use 1password more in my browser than anywhere else. It’s probably 99.99% of my utilization of the app. The fact that it’s been a consistent issue since the 1password 8 update tells me they either don’t care or there team is not competent enough to solve this issue. Really unfortunate, because when it works 1password is, bar none, the best password software on the market.

  • 1Password 7 was great, what is this?

    Guys, by now you are actually a big company. You need to invest heavily in two things, the first, listen to your customers. The second, make your product usable: bring the old clients back, the browser extensions, the native app for mac. Version 8 is awful, you must have heard this a million times. It is 2025 and still have to use 1Password 7, and if it losses compatibility in the future I will definitely switch me, my family and my companies to another solution.

  • Just doesn’t work

    Got a new computer and couldn’t even install 1P safari extension because I was sent through an endless loop of logging in that. Now I see other users can’t get it to work once it is installed. I’ve used 1P for years but can’t stay if it stays broken.

  • Never autofils

    It always asks to unlock 1Password even if it has been unlocked just 1 min ago. I changed settings to ensure it never locks and it still does this. Even if it unlocks, it will NEVER autofill the password. It is just a glorified copy board.

  • Garbage Plug-In

    The plug-in is consistently inconsistent with how it performs. It really does have me wondering if anyone at 1Password is testing this before they release it. Btw...My Mac is always up to date and running the latest version of 1Password and the latest O/S patches. What in the world is the issue that seems to be so unsolvable at 1Password??

    Absolutely horrible experience. Constantly having to delete and reinstall the extension. Just an embarrassment. Just do better.

  • Does not Communicate with 1password database creates separate database

    This is unreliable it creates its own database separate from the 1password database installed on the PC or MAC or even on the web database.

    It used to sadden me how bad 1P had gotten. Now it’s just infuriating. Find a different solution to store your passwords. Don’t get caught in this world.

    Frequently disconnects from the desktop app (every few days), requiring you to restart both Safari and 1Password to get it working again.

  • Constantly breaks

    The 1Password extension for Safari constantly breaks, won’t load, won’t autofill, etc. Glorious when it works, but most of the time it’s garbage.
