Description

Keep control of your news reading with Reeder Classic, RSS reader and read later client in one app, now with support for iCloud syncing. FEEDS Sync all your feeds and articles with iCloud. Reeder Classic comes with a built-in RSS/Feeds service which will keep everything in sync on all your devices. Of course, this is optional. You can still just use one of the many third-party services supported by Reeder or just RSS (without sync). READ LATER This is Reeder's built-in read later service which stores all your data securely in iCloud. A sharing extension allows you to add links from outside of Reeder. BIONIC READING A higher dimension of reading. With Bionic Reading you read texts with more focus, awareness, and sustainability. Read more about Bionic Reading at bionic-reading.com. WIDGETS View most recent articles, configurable to only show items from feeds, folders, searches (for services that support searches) or tags (for read later services). MARK AS READ ON SCROLL With version 5, Reeder finally supports marking items as read while scrolling. Off by default, this can be enabled on a per-account basis. READER VIEW Enter Reader View (for feed items and read later links that support this) for a clutter-free reading experience directly in Reeder's article viewer. You can enable "Automatic Reader View" on a per-feed basis to always load items of a feed with Reader View. SUPPORTED THIRD-PARTY SERVICES Feedbin, Feedly, FeedHQ, NewsBlur, The Old Reader, Inoreader, BazQux Reader, FreshRSS, Instapaper and Pocket.

It does exactly what I want and is beautifully simple.

I’ve used this app for years. YEARS. I’ve loyally paid to upgrade to each and every version he comes out with. He’s come out with a newer version that’s literally a 180° turn from this. This app was perfect. Now he’s basically abandoned it and left it to have the same glitches for years. I’ve reported each and every glitch and not heard a single word back. He obviously doesn’t care. I’m to the point that I don’t care now either. I’ll be looking for a new app soon if some attention isn’t paid to this one.

Bait and switch. Developer abandons this app and pushes basically the same thing but with a subscription. NO THANKS. Clown.
  • Please fix the typography issues in iOS 18

Since iOS 18, non-alphabetic (such as CJK) characters are incorrectly displayed if the font is set to San Francisco or its variations. It’s also impossible to choose certain fonts, such as Proxima Nova. This made Reeder unusable for me, and I temporarily moved to another RSS app. But I’m still giving it a 4-star because I want to support this app.
  • Buggy

Appears to have been abandoned by the developer. It has been randomly bolding the first half of each word in each article for months. Wish it was better because it used to work.
  • Terrible support for Chinese

Some Chinese characters are not rendered correctly, with no fix after sending emails to the developer.
  • I’ve used this app for years, now it fails to do its job

I’m very dissapointed with the product and its developer who made a new app, with the same name and promised to keep the “classic” app working. Nope. Not even close..
  • I love paying for an app that gets no updates and becomes obsolete

Way to rip off consumers. Is there going to be a platinum app after you give up on your new pro app?
  • FRAUD: Silvio Rizzi’s deceptive, billing practices violate the App Store’s terms of service

When would think that developers are prohibited from selling a premium application for a sizable cost, and then failing to update that application in anyway, rendering it totally obsolete, and instead opting to offer a new premium app that requires a second purchase just 12 months later. Yet this is exactly what Sylvio Rizzi has done with the Reeder app. Take a look at his newest release on the App Store. This conduct is a blatant violation of article 12, paragraph 33 of the App Store terms of service. Please consider this a formal report, which is simultaneously been submitted to the FTC and Apple support.
  • Has not worked for me in weeks.

It just sits there updating. But no feeds ever update. Used to be amazing. Now it’s useless.
