This app nearly broke my Nintendo Account. Its login screen is devastating if you try connecting your account.
  • Functionality Sucks But I'm Glad It Exists

You should be able to use the app’s search, look up game details, and buy items for remote download without getting kicked over to the online store site every time. On top of that, the app still doesn’t offer some of the same storefront browsing and filtering tools the website has, which makes it feel kind of redundant. Like the Xbox and PlayStation store apps, I’m glad Nintendo has one at all because it does make discovering games and managing downloads easier. But Nintendo has a habit of turning straightforward ideas into something more complicated and, honestly, frustrating to use.
  • One of the worst digital game stores around

Nintendos store is the epitome of corporate greed. The games here are over priced and don’t even pretend to participate in competitive pricing. Do yourself a favor and sell the switch 2 for a steam deck.

So everything about the app is what I was hoping to see for a Nintendo shopping app on mobile devices. There is one aspect I don’t like, which is that it is not a full on app, where it instead direct you to the website for most things. It would be nice to see everything about a product or game on the app itself instead of being redirected to the site. Additionally, I agree that there are a lot of the separate apps, and that perhaps that the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Today, and Nintendo Store apps should all be combined for an ultimate Nintendo app where everything news, information, fun, and shopping are all in one mega app instead of separate apps. The only one I say should be its own app is Nintendo Music, as it makes sense. The other apps, however, I feel could be combined!

  • Login Mess

As always Nintendo does something really weird and makes this app less useful than just going to the website. The issue is that it seemingly randomly opens a web page where you are not logged in — despite being logged in to the app. Nintendo needs to hire someone to streamline all of their online services. Clearly this skill set does not exist within the company.

This app is great and I see what they were thinking with this app! But I think the Nintendo Switch app and the Nintendo Store app should be combined into one app!
  • This is just a web store

The existence of this app doesn’t make total sense. It just pushes me out to the web store. The ONLY reason I can think of this is so that Nintendo doesn’t have to pay Apple the App Store fees if we were purchasing content directly through the app instead of the web store. Great for Nintendo, but lacking experience for the consumer.
