  • Fun, but not dynamic

Overall, it’s a fun game. It’s not very dynamic and the gameplay is very linear. For example, you really seem to get the same ships as everybody else at the same time based off the same missions, etc., etc. Missions aren’t very challenging and generally are an either or option if there’s an option at all. In other words, even the mission outcomes are very linear. but I’ve enjoyed it as a past time.

I have been a Trekky all my life & was very excited to play this game until my game started getting hacked & my resources stolen. The worst part was when the game started changing so I could no longer advance unless I started spending money to buy or upgrade my ships. This game is not for true fans but the rich.

Unless you plan on paying to win, higher level players that do pay will be able to kill you and steal what you’ve spent your time working for it’s set up that way to pressure you into paying. It’s the same structure as any other pay to win strategy game. The only thing it has going for it is the Star Trek IP but seeing as it’s so highly geared toward pvp and taking what others have it completely misses what Star Trek was about. All this is not even mentioning the constant lag and bugs which I get are present in most mobile games like this but still they make an already frustrating game even more so. With all that being said I still play it daily so it must have some appeal though I’m not really sure what it is. Oh and for the sake of your sanity stay out of galaxy chat for some reason players think it’s necessary to be hateful and ignorant there.

Shame that this game started to have lots of problems after updating, trying to fix bugs, became worse week after week with no resolution in sight. Time to spend money somewhere else.

It takes way too much time to play. You’re always updating. You can bypass this by paying, but that is a lot of money and who would want to spend enough money to put a hefty down payment on a BMW. They say you don’t have to pay to play. Correct but before you’ll get the limo play, you’ll be playing this game for at least 7 to 8 years.
  • Great Update - You Broke The Universe

CAUTION: IM STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH PURCHASES Lots of fun I would recommend, but watch what you pay for, because of the hiccups in the game I don’t think the purchases all go through. I’m still waiting on one. I will give it time. But I’m not going to hold my breath. They do like to make a lot of updates, but do a poor job of checking the whole thing out. Beta testers are what you need. Just made another purchased and received nothing. Sadly - I’m not shocked. UPDATE - fix your billing!!! Stop updating the Garbage on here until you get a good solid billing process. I hope you’re keeping track. UPDATE to the UPDATE to the UPDATE - MISSION BROKEN - Ascendant 15.1, cannot collect.
  • Lags

I love this game, but it lags worse than a two legged dog on a bad day. Now it shows 3 players needing help constantly. Scopley math again 3+1=1. Makes ya wonder what else they messed up

Avoid. F2P is unsustainable and requires hours of game time daily in endless grinds. Purchase costs are insanity. Ships costs hundreds of dollars useable for a few levels and then another ship is needed costing another 300 to unlock without any upgrades.
  • Addictive Game but Toxic Social Environment

I have been playing this game for over a year. I enjoy the PvE aspects of the game but be aware that it is a PvP game. Many PvP players take themselves too seriously. On my server, the largest alliance verbally harasses smaller players and alliances. This alliance is so much stronger than the others, it forces its way on the rest of us. Many are quitting. I urge Scopely to reign in these overpowered alliances. I have updated my review after the developer’s response. While I appreciate that they responded, the response is boilerplate and doesn’t address the specific issues raised. Verbally harassing other players should not be considered PvP. The response appears to condone this behavior as part of the game. I would not recommend this game for anyone under the age of 18 given that response.
