  • Long Time User but it just doesn’t work for me on Apple Mac-Mini

I have had nothing but trouble with the Lastpass on my Apple. It’s a new Mac-Mini with the new Silicon, and I haven’t found the secret to making it work for me. I am will abandon LastPass on the Apple and still use it on my rarely used PC.

this is now junk. after using it almost since its inception, it has been reduced to an utter waste-and worse, instruction on the support site don’t even come close to what you see in the app/vault
  • Broken

Safari for lastpass is totally broken now, still after extensive troubleshooting with their support. Vault does not load, passwords stop autofilling a few minutes after starting Safari, and cannot dismiss the plea to upgrade even though I have already upgraded. So sad.
  • Nothing about this works

Does not autofil passwords. Does not launch from the vault. How is it possible I pay money for a service that produces this? Use Chrome on Safari instead or find another password tool.
  • Problems with new install

i imported password data from my previous password manager and all but the user names came in. So, I spent hours copying and pasting them in. Now, I find that if a password needs to be changed, it will only copy and paste the new password once. It won’t work for the second instance that websites require you put it in. AARGH!!!!! If your preferred browser is Safari, I recommend using a different tool.

I am with most of these 1 star users. LastPass has made this almost unusable. The moved to Safari only on the Mac, the app I can almost never log Into it on a few on my Macs and its just becoming less intuitive and more cumbersome. I don’t feel protected. I have been using another product and it works amazingly. Right now I am just using the free version and so far it’s blowing the paid version of LastPass away. Come on LastPass, my renewal is coming up if you don’t have your act together by them I am dropping you!!!!!!
  • Barely usable

The usability of this thing has taken a nosedive over the last couple of years. First of all, if it works to begin with it’s horrendously slow. Next, I keep having to sign in, even though my machine basically never shuts down. Finding passwords, creating new, everything is counterintuitive. Want to generate a password for a non-website? Takes me 10 minutes of searching every time, because it’s under anything but “Passwords”. I’m moving to 1Pass.
  • Zero stars. Canceled.

I used to be a fan but this is the worst decline in a product experience I have ever experienced. I can't even begin to describe how broken this app is in Safari. I finally canceled my family plan.

I’ve used LastPass for years on all sorts of devices… Windows laptops, Android phones + tables, iPhone + iPad, Chrome extension, Firefox extension. It has been a consistently great experience until this Safari extension. I have to sign in CONSTANTLY. Options like “do not prompt me for my master password for 15 minutes” don’t work. It is just an incredibly poor experience.
  • So frustrating and getting worse and worse

I’ve been using LastPass with Chrome and Safari for years but recently the UX is getting worse and worse, approaching unusable. I feel like all I do anymore is randomly sign in to the app over and over again and the sign-in flow is different every time. This morning after entering my password in the Safari extension, it’s asking me to authenticate with my “FIDO2 device” and won’t allow me to continue — I don’t even know what that is. I’ve just canceled my plan and will move on to BitWarden or Apple Passwords.
