  • Customer Service Support System BROKEN and live agents not available ever

As an annual account subscriber, the LastPass system will not change my email address without my original LP password and it won’t reset my password without my original email address (both I can not access for various reasons - I can use the vault with Face ID on the app—but I can’t log in on their website which is required to make these changes). Bottom line: I HAVE NO ACCESS to my account and NO ACCESS to a live human at this company who might fix it—because, get this, they will only allow you to talk to an agent if you are logged in on their website! RIDICULOUS!!! I can’t delete my account (my aim if I could get into my account) and WORSE, their website says I MUST LOG IN TO CANCEL my subscription. So they will continue to charge me annually? I don’t think so. I guess I’ll be refusing payment on my credit card…RiDICULOUS!!! Don’t do business with LastPass. I know I never will again.

It stopped working for me after about 10 years and their support sucks.

It works but after years of using it, it constantly feels like every interaction with it grits like sandpaper. No way to consolidate multiple items with the same auth backend into one entry, password generator functionality is buried if not actively on a website, changing MFA factors is a nightmare, and they heavily push you into their own first party authentication, family sharing is dodgy at best. This doesn’t even begin to touch their history of security breaches, nor some alleged security flaws in their applications (Granted, those flaws only matter to people with the most paranoid threat models, but still). At this point I haven’t switched because of the pain and risk of switching, but I’m getting very close.

I had a serious problem with my form filling after I installed iOS 26. It took a great many back-and-forth emails from Support, but they finally figured out the problem. I’m very impressed with their patience and their willingness to keep answering my millions of questions. It’s a tad tricky setting up a support call or support email, but once done they are great. And they do call if you ask. Sometimes they’ll stay on the phone for a long time and sometimes a phone conversation changes to an email conversation. But so far I have had every problem resolved.

Finding a new app. I know my password but it is saying it can’t log me in. That is such trash. My password has always been the same
  • User interface is awful; cannot talk to a human to get anything done!

Sometimes it locks me out for no apparent reason. It’s a huge hassle to get back in. Sometimes it works on my phone but not my laptop, or vice versa, with no indication as to why or how to prevent it from happening again.
