  • Excellent Software

I gave this software 4 out of 5. To be fair it probably should be 5 out of 5. The software has gone beyond my expectations. I was looking for an option to use with my Yaesu Network Control system. I really could not find any options. My main objective was CAT control and logging. This program goes beyond what is available from Yaesu. Customer support looks promising. I had sent several emails to the developer of this program prior to purchasing. I had a very prompt response to my questions. For myself I had to take a very big leap of faith to make the $100 purchase. I am currently using this program in my shack on a Mac Mini and will need to purchase an Apple laptop to take the program remote. So I must say it has been a little bit of a gamble as I could not find enough supporting documentation to make a comfortable purchase. I would like to see the developer add video tutorials or get a YouTube channel to demo his product. I have owned this product only for about a week. It looks to be intuitive. Really just plug and play. It probably will replace my currently logging program in the shack. MacLogger DX. (It is that good). Some other things I would like to see: More control of graphics, better customization of logging for contesting. I hope to write a 2nd review of this promising program after I purchase a Mac Book Air. KD2EFR.

As I stated in an earlier review, software is great but Marcus could do a better job at customer support. I was banned from user support for the following email to him: Hi Marcus, I've kinda given up using the Yaesu FTDX10 and your software. Nothing against your software but it just doesn't work as well as with your ICOM SDR-Control software. I would like to get your thoughts using your software. I've been looking at used prices on an Icom 7610 vs Flex 6700. What radio would you pic to work with your SDR-Control software? Thanks! This was his response: Very strange that you reject any help I want to give to get the App working. You said "nothing against your software" then, in the same sentence say that it doesn't work. That's not just totally wrong, this is insane and not polite especially for a HAM to another HAM. Keep in mind that my Apps are being used by thousands of users. None, I repeat none, has any problems using my Apps. As said several times I can help but would need your help to (to answer my questions). But you rejected my help. My conclusion is, that I don't want you as a customer. Please stay away from my Apps, don't write again and yes, please request a refund. I don't want your money. Just in case you may listed at least to my last advice to you: Requests for a refund need to be directed to Apple. This is the only way to get a refund as this is where you bought the Apps. Any further mail from you will get blocked. Bye
  • Another Home Run!

I have EVERY product from this developer. I have this running on my FT-710 and it works great! The only tedious part of setting this up is on the SCU-LAN 10 side but like everything else, if you read the step-by-step instructions on the SCU-LAN, you do not need to be a network engineer to set that up. Just remember that this is sophisticated and you should confirm your Internet connectivity and know how to configure your router. Any latency experienced is strictly your internet bandwidth and taking into consideration how many devices are competing for that bandwidth. If you have any issues look me up on QRZ and drop me an email. 73! KD2ZTA

I’ve only been running this software for a couple of weeks, but it’s been great! It’s so much better than the software included with the SCU-LAN and even allows the use of digital modes. I’ve already seen two updates and it’s obvious that the dev is committed to making the software better and better. There’s a couple of bugs here and there, but feel confident that they’ll be taken care of in short order. The fact I can use MIDI devices like the CTR2-MIDI or any generic MIDI device to control it is fantastic. Absolutely worth the price of admission.

This works amazingly well. I am hoping for a cell phone / tablet companion app to follow. This is everything and more that I hoped for it this app. FB!!! If you have a SCU-LAN10 and an Apple with iOS 14 or greater you should consider this app strongly.
  • App crash’s after making FT8 contact. Developer unresposive.

Bought this app for 99 bucks, and it connects to the radio over the internet fine, but when logging FT8 contacts, the app crash’s. Emailed the developer with no response. I also tried to integrate WSJT-X into the mix instead of using the builtin FT8 interface as WSJT-X is preferred. I have CAT control on my FTDX-10 but no transmit. App Manual is vague and not helpful to document any type of setup. I can control my rig fine with windows software, but the moment I use this app, I get all kinds of issues. This app needs more development and feels like a beta test.
  • You need hardware

Make sure you have the $300 hardware for this to work at all. It's sad that he doesn't allow for refunds.
