[COMMAND TROOPS & WEAPONS IN REAL TIME] Lead up to five troops, maneuvering them freely across expansive maps and intense battlegrounds. Control a variety of powerful siege weapons such as trebuchets, alliance towers, battering rams, escalades, and airships to support your alliance in gaining the upper hand in fierce combat. Mastering the controls is crucial! [DEPLOY LEGENDARY HEROES] Select from over 40 epic heroes representing various civilizations. Legendary figures like Joan of Arc, Leonidas, and Julius Caesar are joined by intriguing new allies such as Miyamoto Musashi, Hua Mulan, and Rani Durgavati. Not too bad. I thought there would be a bit more traditional age of empires feel but it’s okay. They should have added Greek States.
  • Dishonors the AoE heritage

Pay to play. Dopamine and micro-purchase oriented. Lame game mechanics unfaithful to original. Screen way too busy and complicated. What a shame.
  • Right concept but too much p2w

Haven't played games like this before but I think it could be a lot of fun if there wasn't so much p2w. The p2w element is so bad that this game actively promotes bullying and harrassment by p2w players. I guess the dollars are coming in for Microsoft to not care about ethics/AoE brand reputation

We’ve seen this game 1000 times. Build your city, research your troop tiers, star up your heroes, for the cheap price of an Xbox a new tv a computer and new brakes, you can actually put your skills to the test. No thanks. Age of empires has done in the rest of them though. With an added troop type (pikeman) they’ve added a new set of heroes you have to buy, star, and level, a new barracks you need to keep leveled up, and a new troop type you need to continue researching, and those researches get into the month long timeframe real fast. Otherwise it’s the same old game. Buy something and get this free hero, get this other hero from vip, here’s a wheel you can spin for a hero. Here’s a week long event you can spend money on all week for another hero. It’s the same cash grab we’ve seen on mobile a million times, and not at all an age of empires game. Nothing about this game is remotely similar to age of empires in anyway. Training troops takes hours at a time, you can not expand your own territory at all, only help alliances build their territory, and there is no endgame.
  • Just like every other shame

They had every chance to make this great and revive a legendary series. They chose to make a cheap fake that’s just another money grab with microtransactions and no real strategy. What a shame

This game is extremely similar to another game on the App Store by coco called white out survival. Almost down to a T. Was super excited for age of empires to come out on mobile but was let down. Graphics are nice at least

AOE was my favorite game of my teen years. This game is nothing like it. I was so looking forward to playing the old game, nope. I gave it a try for a couple weeks and I think pretty darn boring. Deleted it.
  • Fire whoever’s idea this was!

The entire marketing behind this game was “game of my childhood” but then the game is NOTHING like the game from our childhood. What a waste of time, money, and expectations.
  • This ain’t Age of Empires

This is like a bunch of mini nonsense games. Every chance they get is a cash grab! They should of named it Kingdom Empire instead of AOE
  • Every other mobile game

This isn’t age of empires… it’s literally every game on mobile ever. Don’t waste your time or money. There’s a castle mode where you build in a specified order according to “missions” and a world map mode where you chase bad guys, and an alliance mode where you ask for help (for no reason) I’ve played this game countless times starting like ten years ago. This is boring and nothing like age of empires. Total bummer. I was excited for the old game to be made phone playable. Literally a pointless cash grab totally indistinguishable from every other made for mobile castle builder out there.
