Longtime Todoist user before subscribing two years ago right before grad school. I’ve juggled insane workloads thanks to this app. It’s not quite a second brain, but it does what I need it to do—help me visualize time. The most useful updates have been the ability to set deadlines in addition to due dates and calendar view. I think the native support for Google Calendar happened while I was subscribed as well. It feels like the improvements have been consistent and really adds value to the subscription. I should also shout out the content team. The blog is an excellent productivity resource on its own.

HAVE HAD IT SINCE THE BEGINNING AND FIND IT FOR ME TO BE THE BEST OPTION (TRIED MANY OTHERS) ALTHOUGH I DO NOT NEED MANY OF THE NEW THINGS, IT JUST KEEPS WORKING AND AUTOMATICLY GETS DATES AND REPEATING DATES ETC ! LOVE IT AND THE OTHER NEW STUFF I FIND TO BE CURRENTLY NOT DEVELOPED ENOUGH TO AS EFFECTIVE.

I literally just renewed my annual subscription, and now I’m being forced to upgrade to a more expensive plan to get new features? You are changing the terms of my subscription after I already committed to a year? This has to violate some kind of terms. Unethical in the very least.
  • Life changing…

Seven years ago, I was living in a dilapidated garage with no AC, in what felt like the hottest geological armpit of Southern California. My post-college life was in freefall. As a freelancer with mild autism and a desperate need to rebuild my ability to stay organized, I turned to every productivity solution under the sun. Nothing clicked. I was too overstimulated and overwhelmed by the massive list of everything I needed to accomplish. After searching for a more lightweight and simple to-do list app, I discovered Todoist: and I realized very quickly it was a game changer. Being able to view a single day or a 7-day schedule was exactly what I needed. The natural language detection while writing each task, combined with the thoughtful attention to design and user experience, made all the difference. Todoist helped me focus on what was immediately ahead and retrained me to build my days in a manageable, sustainable way. I’ve been a paying customer ever since. Today, I run a thriving creative business, drive a beautiful sports car, and live in a stunning apartment. More importantly, I have peace of mind - a sense of control over what needs to get done. Can all of that be chalked up to a single app? Probably not. But Todoist was there when I needed it most, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to other neurodivergent people who crave structure without chaos. It’s no exaggeration to say how much it changed my life. Thanks to the Todoist team for continually improving the app and making it truly useful for everyone.
  • Lost Tasks

This app seems to rely on syncing with the website. When I moved a bunch of tasks between projects in this app, a sync error occurred and they were all lost. Probably safer to just use the website.

Love this app. I have always been a list maker so that I don't forget things. I was very heistant to use something other than paper for my lists, because I need simplicity so that it helps me remember instead of overwhelming me. This app does that. Yes, it has crazy amazing calendar linking and reminders if you want all of that. But if you just need to be a compulsive list maker to organize yourself and do it in a way that stays beautifully clean and calm, then this will give you that option too. It's worth every penny.

I was diagnosed with ADHD last year at age 38. Even though medication has helped things like focus and motivation, the executive dysfunction is still there. My whole life I’ve constantly forgotten important dates and deadlines and still struggle with keeping everything organized. I’ve tried all sorts of planners, Google calendar, bullet journals, productivity apps — nothing has worked until I tried Todoist. Before, I jotted down random notes in my phone, random dates in my calendar but always had a low-key undercurrent of anxiety that I was missing something. There’s something about the functionality of Todoist that hits the sweet spot of keeping me organized (I have sections for work, school, and general reminders), on top of dates, AND getting that sense of satisfaction from checking things off. If I can’t get to something that day, you can shift the date easily and completely guilt-free. It’s the only thing I use now and I feel so fortunate to finally be able to stop worrying about forgetting the things I need to do.
