ecobee Smart Thermostat

This app does not help ecobee sell thermostats...in all honesty it probably hurts sales. Lets hope we get a full featured iOS 8 compatible app soon...for all ecobee legacy thermostats...and not just something new for those who upgrade to ecobee 3.

I have 7 of these units -4 for my office and 3 at home. Reliability is the primary reason for using ecobee versus other products such as Honeywell and others. Easy, intuitive interface and works perfect every time.

While I love the ability to control my thermostats from my iPhones, iPads, and Macs, the app is very clunky and the interface is NOT slick like iOS apps should be. Please give us a real native app, not this web app! The interface of the thermostat itself, while not fantastic, is way slicker than this app.

My comments may not be of general interest; I'm totally blind, hence use the voice over feature available in iOS. Using this app, it was impossible to make any adjustments. I wrote Ecobee tech support and they made it clear and no uncertain terms that they couldn't care less! I should mention, that my mother, though elderly can see perfectly well, but she had trouble figuring out how to make I just mints to the thermostatthis using this app also.. Needless to say, I exchanged the ecobee for a honeywell and both my mother and I are easily able to adjust all settings using Honeywells iPhone app.

After two months of owning a pair of Ecobee Smart Si thermostats, I'm officially done with this company, like I was with NEST before it. I gave this app a positive, hopeful four star review saying that the app needed a serious and major design overhaul, but in the two months time since then, Ecobee just sat on their laurels and twiddled their thumbs. To be honest, this app is really an ugly mess and it seems that Ecobee couldn't care less about its user experience. It doesn't use a clean iOS 7 design. It doesn't have a simple portrait view. It's not available for the iPad. And it simply takes too many taps to do any sort of function. I gave this company a chance but I'm moving on. Two months is an eternity in app years, especially for a young, growing company. So now I just got a new pair of Honeywell Lyric thermostats and not only is the hardware beautiful, but the app is gorgeous and incredibly functional. I can positively say that I'm liking it better than the NEST app, though both are beautifully designed. The Ecobee app, in contrast, isn't even in the same ballpark. Although time will tell, right now, count me as a happy Lyric owner and returned customer to Honeywell.

No portrait view almost impossible to manage more than 1 AC. Ugly UX

I'm glad to have the exobee thermostat, as it was the only remote control tstat that would operated my complex system ..... but jeeze guys!! If you can make a great tstat, can the app to control it be ao tough? This app stinks. It locks up. I can change temp, but app remains at same temp as before. But most times it just doesnt work at all. Please update this app!!

The temperature jumps back to the original setting when adjusting from iPhone 4S. Very frustrating!!!!
