  • No search function?

Usability is bad.Why is there no search function? No ability to save full playlists? You can favorite individual songs, but for instance I use the EMDR playlist. I have Calm Health through my insurance. Each time I want to listen to this playlist, I have to go to discover, then music, then go to the collection “relax and unwind” and scroll down to the bottom to find this playlist. Why is it so much less usable than the original calm app. Even a simple search function would be so helpful.

Had the original calm app and was given this one by my insurance. It’s far worse. The interface is less intuitive the screenings are more invasive. And worst of all is that there is no sleep timer on the soundscapes. Utter failure.

The non heath version is way better experience.
  • AirPlay

When Sonos support was removed from the Calm app, I got by with airplay. Now, my company ditched Calm premium for Calm Health and AirPlay doesn’t work, at all. I have to say, I’m bummed. Can you either add AirPlay support, or allow ‘Coniferous Forest’ to work without a premium subscription in the Calm app?
  • Good but could be even better

My job gave us access to the Calm App and now Calm Health. I like the different programs you can sign up for and find them helpful. A few suggestions for improvement: 1. A search feature to find different programs or soundscapes easier. This is on the main Calm app but not the Health version? 2. The ability to pick more than 3-4 goals or topics. 3. Where is the caregiver for adult parents program? I want something for dealing with the stress of that. It is much different than care giving for kids. 4. Would love a program for caregivers or supporters of people dealing with cancer. Or people with terminal illness. To prepare for the potential grief ahead. 5. How do I find the things I’ve listed as my favorites? The UI could be better laid out for navigating.

Love the quality of stories and narrators. Home Screen options are helpful. Please bring back the sleep timer, was so useful!
  • Good content, but the app experience needs work

I like the content on the app, once I finally find something I want to listen to. The interface isn’t very intuitive, and without a search bar, it can take 10-15 minutes just to land on something I like. Sometimes I get tired of scrolling and end up leaving the app altogether. Navigation definitely needs to be smoother. I’ve also noticed that I have to log in again if I haven’t used the app in a few hours. Is Face ID an option? I’d prefer not to log in so often, but if that’s necessary, Face ID would be a much less frustrating alternative to re-entering my credentials each time. Also, it would be great to see more content added, variety would really help with discovery. Overall, the content is good, but the user experience could definitely use some improvements.

My company sponsored a Calm membership, but found it cancelled. New Benefit Provider (UHC) new Calm Health app…MISSING the ability to Favorite Playlists for Sleep, Relaxation…etc. though you can favorite individual “sessions” within which does NOT bring you to the playlist just plays that “session”, track, song, whatever you choose to call it. So…each night or each day the user has to search for the darn playlist through the glitchy, scroll freezing app, to find a playlist. This design should have copied the original Calm app features, then layered in the extra psychiatric evaluation/self - help recommendations and programs. If you ask me I’d say it’s more frustrating than “Calm”ing. This must be specifically designed to cater to commercial accounts and collect data due to not much thought out into legacy transitions, where none of your previous account info transfers, yet you still login through Calm portal if a legacy customer. Poor transitional integration, this was designed for “New Users”, and offers only base functionality.
