If this works, it will work ONCE. Then never again. I wish I had never bothered with this software. Now, I have a lot of notes in the app and I’m switching to Mac notes for simplicity and because it works.
  • Works on alternate Thursdays when the moon is full.

Year after year after year after year after year after year, Evernote keeps adding features without getting their basic functionality solid. Want to save a clip from Safari? Best of luck to you.
  • Doesn’t work on Safari

I use Evernote continually to keep records, receipts, letters, etc. that are important to preserve. I have used the web clipper for years, always with Safari, and have really enjoyed being able to keep things that interest me in Evernote for later referral. However, the web clipper no longer works with Safari. I have deleted and redownloaded the web clipper with out success in getting it to work. If you are a Safari user like me stay away from the extension until Evernote figures out what they have to do with this particular browser to get it to work like it once did.
  • Still the best note system

I’ve gone through several note systems, much to my wife’s chagrin. I always come back to Evernote. Sure, it’s more expensive than others, but cheaper than paying to try out others and then finding out they don’t meet your needs. Regular updates to the code and continuing improvements to the system are making it better. I use it to track to-dos back to the note where they apply. With several thousand notes in Evernotes, it’s saved me several times when needed information. I do wish it would integrate with iCal like it does with Google Calendar and with Outlook. That would make a great system even better.

As others here have said, this stopped working on Safari. It walks you through the whole process, including logging in to Evernote and telling you you've clipped successfully, then -- nothing. Very frustrating, since this is the main reason I use Evernote.
  • Does not work on Safari desktop for months

I agree with Mistfall -- this used to be an amazing extension. But for months now it is useless on the desktop. It prompts you to log in on another tab, and then when you do, it says, "login successful!" But the clipping *does not happen*. It's exasperating. I've tried uninstalling the extension and reinstalling. I've looked through the user support forums. No solutions. I have tried sending in support tickets and they go to nowhere. I've never gotten a reply from my multiple requests for this to be addressed. Evernote has gotten greedy and is pouring money into stupid AI "features" that I don't want while ignoring what used to be one of the best features of Evernote. The web clipper only works on iOS now. Be warned.

Like other reviews here, all it does once you log in is keep telling you success for logging in. And then nothing. Garbage.
  • The reason I have Evernote

I clip a lot of web pages and I have yet to find another notetaking app that clips them nearly as well as this one. And I've tried all the major ones! Most of them just paste a link or PDF of the page into you note. This clipper allows you options of how you want to save it and does a great job of eliminating ads and other annoyances when doing so. If Evernote ever got rid of this extension, I'd get rid of Evernote.

On going login issues, constantly have to log in to make it work. When it works… it works great.
  • Broken on Safari... again

Every time I try to log into the clipper, it takes me to my Evernote account, verifies me as I sign in and then immediately signs me out. Doesn't even give me an opportunity to find settings or help or anything that might explain what's going on. Also, the clipper used to be good at predicting the notebook I want to put a note in but nope, not anymore. It doesn't even try. What gives?
