  • A System That Still Works

Rosetta Stone has improved since its inception thirty-odd years ago. The graphics are smoother, modern and clean. The speech recognition engine is better, for sure. As for the method, that seems to remain largely unchanged. It’s very audio-focused as a means of presenting new concepts, relying on your intuition to understand grammar and learn vocabulary. Hard to say how widely that works for language learners, but it’s a useful tool, even if you prefer a more grammar-analytic approach, as an adjunct to your main way(s) of learning. Lots of fun and it feels good to get a full green circle in the pronunciation exercises.

Our children and us enjoy the ease of learning languages with Rosetta Stone. The process is very similar when began to learn English as our second language in elementary school in the 80s

I've taken Spanish in middle school and high school. I've tried DuoLingo. Other than completely submersing yourself in another country, this is the best way to learn a language. Love it. I've been using it for years. I finish, then repeat again to keep it all fresh in my mind

Understanding will come first and then speaking. Just give it time.

I absolutely love Rosetta Stone, I did research and found out that’s the only app that actually teaches you as opposed to student is teaching app, almost like AI, that’s why when you learn something it doesn’t come back for 500 times, it keeps you moving forward and learn new stuff, I had them back when they used CD and not I love app. I did try other similar apps, this one is absolutely hands down the best. And the price is very much affordable, I wish kids have used that at school

Learn languages via association and not translation. It's a much more logical and natural way to start acquiring a new language! David M from Ohio (USA)

Pictures, captions and pronunciation help to internalize the language. I like the process.
