  • Impossible to edit website

I appreciate some of the other features but the app is super clunky and I cannot add blocks to pages. I can edit existing ones, and delete them. It’s incredibly frustrating.
  • Not very robust

Constantly getting “try logging in again” errors that magically go away or appear without any sense. If you try and edit using the app, there’s no undo function which is very frustrating as objects get moved easily with a light touch. Trying to manage or edit a gallery is torture.

Try to edit a page, get sent to the homepage. Still can’t do anything. Laggy, buggy, crashes regularly.
  • Privacy!

This is not ok when you force the user to give you the ID and a selfie or else the account is locked. All because I changed my phone number, which you don’t need in the first place. I need a response and a confirmation that my biometrics are deleted from your database, forever!
  • Cumbersome

Unless you are using this strictly for analytics or selling, the app is pretty useless. It’s so cumbersome to make updates, publish blog posts, etc. There is no place in the app to manage blog comments unless you go to the actual blog post. Honestly, I recommend Wordpress over squarespace due to this app.
  • Almost Unbelievably Bad

Like everyone else, this crashes constantly. Far more than any other app I've ever used... ever. The auto generation for social posts of products is a good ideas, but crashes, and made my on screen volume control keep popping up until I force closes to app. Then app support basically told me I was lying. Just now, I went in to check for next payout to realize they have their internal links to various account pages broken or completely missing. This is the most bare minimum, simple, obvious web app stuff imaginable. I legitimately can't understand how they can mess this app up so entirely.

I love using squarespace on my laptop, however this app sucks. It’s constantly crashing, and when I try to edit a page, it’s stops working and sends me back to the Home Screen. Absolutely trash, and very frustrating as I THOUGHT editing my website from the app/ my phone, would be easier than the website/my laptop. I was wrong.
  • Could be better for iPhone

This is a pretty great website building platform. I figured it out all on my own how to build my website for my business; never having built a website before. As time goes on the app becomes more and more tedious to do on the go updates from my iPhone. (Constant errors, glitches, slow response, prompts to retry, unresponsive, or randomly refreshes without any auto saves of work changed). It also seems that as time goes on you’re able to do less and less from your iPhone. But on the desktop it’s much user friendly to navigate
  • App kinda sucks.

I’ve been using squarespace for my business for years. It’s mostly great. Customer service is nonexistent, which is not cool, and lately the mobile app has been unusable for quick site maintenance and email campaigns. Squarespace, you have lots of room for improvement. Hire some humans. Offer real help to customers who need it, and for the love of dog, fix the app.
  • App is unusable

One of the reasons I switched from Showit (amazing in almost every way) back to Squarespace was the allure of being able to make updates to my simple, text-based website from my phone or iPad. Instant regrets. All of the same bugs on the desktop browser from 2 years ago are still there, and the mobile app is even worse. I’ve wasted 10 minutes trying to fix a typo on a basic text informational page. The app has crashed twice, is now taking 5+ minutes to load any page, and also randomly keeps loading one of my other Squarespace sites (I manage several). Squarespace is forever rolling out fancy new features nobody asked for instead of focusing on perfecting the basics and fixing their bugs.
