    Love the game, terrible app. This will crash 1 out of over 4 games and not let you back in- even after closing the app and restarting. Would rate higher, but this is 3 years of the same bugs and no fix despite multiple ‘updates’.

  • Impossible to beat the computer in single player mode

    I bought this game because I love the board game. But this game is impossible to beat in single player mode. You could be 5 moves ahead, and the computer will somehow come back every time and win. They need to make it easier to play. Not enjoyable when you’re losing 30 games to 1

  • Buggy but still worth it

    This app would be an easy 5 stars if the dev team would just address a couple seemingly simple glitches, the most annoying of them being during online matches when a player leaves the game and an AI bot takes over, often times the bot will spam the same trade over and over and over and over again. It’s extremely frustrating, and made worse by the fact that the bot’s turn timer resets every time it requests a new trade - even though that isn’t a feature for actual players.

    Bugs everywhere and even reset my account from 4 years ago which I paid for and can’t gain access to anymore. Unresponsive support team. More glitches than I can remember. Shoddy to say the least.

    The game would be great — if the network stayed connected. My login is constantly dropped, forcing me to lose turns or forfeit games. Not worth the money.

    I don’t usually write reviews but I was really bummed out about the lack of support I got from Catan when I submitted a request. I started playing the game for free and when I understood how to play I caved in and bought gold to purchase the game. I was playing on my account for a while and then one day I signed in and it said I was back to a level 1. I went ahead and sent in my request along with proof of purchase for the gold on Dec 16 and am still waiting for them to resolve this.

    Unfortunately this app is filled with bugs if you try the online multiplayer mode. The FIRST bug is that if a player leaves the game the ai takes over but it will eventually just keep asking for trades that you deny and regardless will keep trying to ask them. Eventually everyone leaves the game out of desperation. There is a SECOND bug that if you run out of time while the trade window is open then the game keeps you in the trade window, you can close it out with the eye to the right but those buttons stay on the window and completely cover the buttons to reject or accept trades during everyone else’s turns, but once it gets back to your turn… well now you can’t roll the dice because that button is now covered as well so then you get kicked out because you took too long. The THIRD bug, isn’t a bug, I just think their servers must have some type of issue because I have constantly been kicked out of games, it will say trying to reconnect but will never connect back in. I know it’s not my WiFi because all my other devices including this one are able to load other webpages while on the app. What’s truly just frustrating is how deep you can get into these games committing hours of time only to then have all that effort go to waste. Especially given that the multiplayer is a premium offering that we pay for it should work as intended, I truly hope they fix it as it is otherwise a great game.

    This game is the homeland of racist people lol where everyone feels comfortable being full on keyboard warriors and feel so brave and bold to say things they’d never say to anyone in real life. Besides that, the game is great.

    Game is well designed with great graphics and features. However, for years these developers have failed to fix the biggest problem with this game… About 10-20% of games end as a result of some bug or glitch. Imagine you’re about to win and finally get that elo boost… Too bad, your game just glitched and you no longer get to finish it. You’re thrown into an endless loop of the game restarting and having to rejoin. It is absolutely maddening. The developers have proven time and time again they are incapable of fixing the problem. This has been an issue for years.

    I was kicked out of a game that was acting very buggy. I attempted to back out but when I tried to rejoin it never joined the game. This was 3 days ago and now every time I open the app to start a new game it tries to rejoin me on that game, but never goes into the actually game. I can’t even back up so now I can’t start any new games. Really buggy and frustrating app.
