  • Make an app, don’t copy a book

I have used the hard copy of this book and found it moderately useful. I fee that they missed the mark when they converted it to an app. This is essentially just a digital version of the hard copy book. I feel that they could have added quite a bit more functionality such as more integrated calculators. For an example of a better critical care app, see Critical by The Barringer Group. Unfortunately they are no longer updating their app, but it would be nice to see some of that same functionality and useful features integrated in to this app. Develop an app from the ground up, to be an app rather than converting a hard copy format.

Over all it is not bad, I agree with the previous review, I like the old version better. Seems to function fine. Some data missing and need to scroll left or right to see drip charts. The last app and flip guide are easier to use and data was clearer.
  • Had to buy it, again.

I’ve had this app for years. The old version worked up until the new iOS update. The old app was not compatible with the new iOS. Instead of just updating the app, now you have to buy it, again.

Quick and helpful resource. Easy to navigate. Useful in the field, on transport or hospital setting. I like it as a study guide - with quick topic reviews.

Nice app. Fairly easy to use and navigate around. Good information and good reference. A bit more expensive then I expected, though.
  • Meh. Overpriced. Not really an improvement.

After a quick look for a day I can say "It's ok." The older version is more familiar and easier to read. A little different format from the informed flip books. Not any great amount of info and some weird information sorting (burns, head injuries, and peds trauma under "medical" not "trauma"). Cyanide absent from "poisons." Spanish translations and phone numbers under the heading "labs." Difficult to read tables as they need a lot of scrolling right and left. Can't zoom in. All in all seems like a hastily put together app. Would not recommend, but maybe you'll disagree.
