    I’ve been using the Day One app daily for years, and it continues to be one of my favorite journaling tools. The layout is clean and intuitive, making it incredibly easy to use whether I’m jotting down quick notes or writing longer entries. One of the biggest advantages is that it’s available across all of my devices, which means I can access and update my journal anytime, anywhere. One feature I’d love to see added is the ability to wrap pictures around the text. Currently, images are displayed separately, and having more layout flexibility would enhance the visual storytelling aspect of journaling. Despite that, Day One remains a fantastic app that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and beautifully designed digital journal.

    I do not always have a journal handy to place thoughts or prayers in but Day One provides me direct access right away. For the Journaling the prompts are helpful too

    Just downloaded based on recommendations. Started on the iPhone, and it’s great for that. Quick start is good. I created a few journals using templates I curated. It was great. The mobile app has so many options, suggestions, templates, colors, all kinds of great stuff. I thought syncing it to my app would be amazing. It’s not. The app is dry and less user friendly than any other Mac journal I’ve tried. It’s hard to believe they’re supposed to be the same app.

    I’ve used this for years and it’s grown and changed to always meet my needs. A feature I really like did leave a number of years ago. Markdown editing used to be handled more like Bear handles it, visible when editing and just the results when viewing. That was much nicer than turning everything to rich text. New features that would be nice are simply a location check in and a mood check in.

    Let’s make one thing perfectly clear- I hate, despise, loath “subscription” based purchases. But, that said- I truly find this app to be a boon to the writer in all of us. Granted, Apples “Journal” is actually quite nice and I do indeed use it quite often- especially as an “On The Go” program- seeing as it’s entirely phone/app based- but you and I both know that The Powers That Be at Apple have no interest in making it a multi-platform item. Just the multi-platform nature of this app/program has me near giddy. Is there room for improvement? Sure- what in life doesn’t get better with modification? Just so we’re clear, the ONLY reason, this gets a “4-Star” rating currently is because I’m an “Olde Farte” that believes in paying and keeping a product once it’s paid for- not subscriptions…

    I have used Day One as my personal journal for several years now. I like how I can sync my journal entries from various devices, whether I am connected to the internet or not. I can even add photos to it! At the end of each year I pay to have my journal printed bound into a hardcover book. I hope my posterity will enjoy reading about my life someday.

    I’ve been using Day one for 9 years and love it…its ability to always bring me back to my old writing…from years ago is refreshing to see… i love adding in pictures and videos, because when I look at them years later, it always brings a smile to my face…putting me back in that moment. Day one has kept me grounded, focused on my goals and allows me reflect from where I’ve come from. This app doesnt have crazy updates or feature upgrades…but thats fine…it just allows me to write, Reflect upon the past and write my goals for the future. What I love most about DayOne is that ive been able to transfer my journal from one laptop to the next…one phone to next…seamlessly DayOne has always been reliable, never had any problems or bugs…and the fact they’ve been able to make a great product for almost a decade is a testament to the stability of their software

    I’ve been using Day One for a long time and it’s the best place to capture my thoughts. It let’s me embed photos now which I really needed. My wish now is that I could specify paragraph spacing so I don’t have to put an empty line between paragraphs.
