    I have consistently used this since 2105 and the “on this day” feature has been so satisfying that I am building backwards, first integrating a different digital journal from 2008 to 2014, and now importing my old paper journals and old photos in to build a timeline of my life. On this day brings back 60 years of experiences now. Sharing some of those “on this day” flashbacks with family and friends creates connection - and the entries are far more intimate than anything I would do on social media - so is the close of circle of family and friends that I share entries with.

    I’ve been using this app for years. Suddenly, I can’t get the bottom utility bar which has the voice transcription icon and the app locks up. Latest iOS and and iPad Pro. Very disappointing. Have deleted and reinstalled to no avail. any Dev help here would be appreciated.

    I like Day One a lot, but the interface is a little quirky - sometimes I lose an entry or the prompt doesn't appear. I'd like to be able to insert photos more creatively and use color as well. I imagine it'll get there though, and I'm enjoying it.

    I like how clean the user interface is - minimal and good choice of fonts. I also appreciate the lack of annoying pop ups, questionnaires or forced reviews. Which is actually why I wrote a review and this is only review I've written for an app. It is also one of the only apps that showed continuous improvement over the past 9 years I've had it. Features actually improved in each new versions, as opposed to me dreading updates. The creators understand the essence and values in the process of journaling, as it is reflected through this app. Yet somehow it is still free.

    I used to journal a lot when I was younger but as I got older I found it harder and harder to keep up with it. Day One makes it so easy to jot down my quick thoughts and upload pics and share memories! I've been able to keep up with everything so much easier and it's fun to look back on things after every year :)
