  • Loved this app for the past 5 years, but it’s got to have an AI aspect!

First, My Favorite Forza Horizon 3 Gets Delisted, And Then Secondly, Forza Horizon 4 Gets Delisted Before I Could Play It On My AMD Ray Tracing PC! And To Top That Off, The Crew 2 Had A Misleading Company Called Ubisoft From Just Dance! It’s One Thing After The Other As A Disaster In A Balloon Factory! Meta Quest is Lacking VR And MR Titles For 2026! Now, I Do Not Want To Buy The Google Pixel, Because It’s Too Heavy Than Thin Samsung Edge Phones Nowadays!😭 Rejected James Phone Offer.

I absolutely love this app. I do pay the monthly subscription and I love how I can change the color of the app and my journals

This app is nicely designed, easy to use. I like its ability to incorporate pictures from Photos, even if you can only do one at a time one per entry, in its free version. It replaced a more basic Diary app I was using.

I like it. I’ve wandered around a few different apps, both trials of paid and free, resisted paying for a paid one, and never quite liked the free ones, but this one won me over, especially once there was a web app for when I’m not in the Apple universe, and also a phone app for my non-Apple phone. I really only do text, so I can’t speak about its media abilities. It works. I like the interface. It’s simply become how I journal.

I have been using this journal for over 10 years and can not find any other journal app that comes even close! The options of capturing your thoughts, ideas etc through pics, audio, tags, labels, location etc. For those of you who still want a print version of your journal download each year and make it into a book. This is definitely worth the yearly subscription hands down!
  • Paid 10 years loyal, day one left me locked out with no help

I’ve been a Day One user for nearly ten years, and I’m extremely disappointed with what’s happening now. I’m a paying subscriber, but I suddenly can’t log in at all. My password is correct, yet the app keeps rejecting the login. Even worse: when I try to reset my password, I never receive the reset email—so I’m locked out with no practical recovery path. I contacted Tech Support, and for days there was no real response. I received an automated message implying they “didn’t receive my email,” even though my email system clearly shows it was delivered. When a human finally replied, the response didn’t address my situation and felt like they hadn’t read my message carefully. After I explained everything again, I got another automated “we didn’t receive your email / do you still need help?” message—basically sending me in circles. This experience makes the company feel unreliable. And for a journaling app—where users store highly personal, irreplaceable memories—trust is everything. If access can break and support can’t resolve it, that’s a serious risk. At this point, I’m forced to look for another platform, and I can’t recommend Day One to others unless they dramatically improve account recovery and customer support.
  • Is there a free version?

Used to be a free version. Now it won’t let me use it… You say this is a lifetime app. Nope. Not when I can’t access my old info from the free app. I won’t be paying your high rates- not for an app that has left me high and dry.
  • Simple and very easy to use

I love how well-formatted the app is, I’m making a daily routine to write something in it. I like how it’s similar to Notes app but better for journaling, and organizing by calendar and time. Awesome app, definitely recommend to people who like simplicity! (Or more complex if you want it to be, I’m just more on the simple and easy side)

I’m enjoying it. I’m moving my stuff from an old journaling app to this one.
