  • Very difficult to use on iPad

    The app works OK and I can get it to do what I need. But when it opens on an iPad, it stupidly runs only in Portrait mode. The bigger screen is great for viewing, sorting, and selecting photos, but it makes my attached keyboard useless. I like to add captions to the photos I select, but I have to disconnect my keyboard and use the on-screen keyboard to hunt and peck. Surely it’s not that tough to run landscape on the larger screen.

    Instead of grandfathering in Original Customers Nixplay Scewed us and cut photo storage locking photos over the New “BASIC” plan limit. That is what we got for supporting the company through its start up. Just a lousy greedy company, please check out the competition, now that their are alternatives, even if you end up paying, do not support a company like this one.

    At 500MB, the frame is basically on repeat of a moderate number of images, and since the image quality is also mediocre (despite storing the images at full size), there's limited "bang for your buck" compared to other brands of frames.

    Ridiculous that I purchased this frame years ago for myself and my parents and in-laws and all of my siblings so that we can share photos. Now I can’t even upload very many of my own photos to my frame. I tried to email and they informed me that pictures I send to those other frames don’t count against their limits. So basically now my frame is just whatever someone else sends me or the same thing over and over again (literally see the same pictures and videos over and over because I have not paid for the subscription) they shouldn’t be allowed to change the terms so drastically when it makes the product you purchased so worthless without having to buy a subscription service. DONT BUY! There are better options
  • Glitchy product/ shady company

    Nixplay now requires a subscription to use the frame which was explicitly not the case when purchased. I don’t mean a “free trial” expired or anything like that. They just decided to require an expensive subscription to use the frame. Customer service refused to refund the frames even though they cannot be used as advertised when purchased. Feels like extortion. Frustrating and disappointing. Do not recommend.

    I utilized the email address provided for customer service. I got connected in a very timely manner (less than 24 hours) by a customer service rep named Maris. Maris was so kind and helpful… we went back and forth for two days via email and I was absolutely delighted when Maris officially resolved my issue. Thank you!!! Super impressed with the customer service - on a frame that’s 4 years old!
  • They dysfunction all the time

    My grandmother has one and it’s how we show her our family adventures. Last week it kept getting frozen on videos, and this week it just won’t turn on. It loads, turns on, displays one photo and then within 5 seconds clicks off. So it’s useless. And we just were forced to buy the upgrade!!

    Our family has bought multiple frames and has loved using them, but this forced subscription service is absolutely ridiculous. Would give 0 stars if I could
