Hi Ladies, I have been using Affirm for about a year now. It has been a good option when I want to purchase over time. The interest rate is comparable and as long as you pay as agreed upon, your purchase power grows. I highly recommend Affirm, if you want a pay over time option.

  • Push Notification Advertisements

This app is ruined by Push Notification Advertisements for products and services that you can’t turn off. You can turn off some through contacting support (there is no option in the settings menu you have to contact support). However after that I am still getting new ones even after this. I only use this app to check on payments and see the timelines. Chase bank isn’t randomly sending me notifications about products. Or that I’m prequalified for random new loans. I may of been tempted by a deal (these ads aren’t deals, they are just saying you can buy things…) while looking in app, but getting that pushed to me leaves such a bad taste im not touching using you directly. You’re better off relying on the website and emails for this info.

  • Now reports to credit bureau

The purpose of me using Affirm was that it did not report to the credit bureau. Now my credit agency is impacted on my credit score. Credit age has a medium impact on your credit score. I know some people may think that it is helping people establish credit, however, credit cards have a larger impact on credit reports. Get a credit card to establish credit and Allow the rest of us to have unbothered credit reports as originally agreed!
  • Absolutely wrecked me and did nothing

So at first, was fine. Until I used it for Amazon for a 400 dollar purchase and it double charged me. And now, my credit score is probably garbage, they act like I know nothing, they did nothing to help me, because I made three payments to NOT have my credit score ruined they used that against me, saying since I made payments I'm going to continue paying off that loan, even though it clearly is in the 'completed' tab and I even screenshotted it and showed it to them, and now, they refuse to give me those payments back. Unless you use paypal, or some other payment option, do NOT use them. Absolutely will screw you at some point.
